Haley's pov (the whole story is going to be in her pov)
I never really enjoyed these types of missions but Chloe loved them. She loved being the bait and me doing the dirty work. I mean I don't mind it, I just always worry about her. Something could happen and I'm to far away to help her. I was looking through my binoculars on my gun and saw her head into the building. The plan was for her to go in and lure him to the window where I could make an easy shot.
I could see her in the window now. It's a good thing she loves being the one that goes in because i don't know how I could do the things that she does. She loves playing the seductive role which was the role she was playing right now.
She got him right against the glass and I was about to make my shot but I heard a noise behind me. It was definitely human which is why I turned around. But when I did no one was there but then I felt a force tackle me to the ground.
Being personally trained in combat from my dad came in handy at times like this. We fought for what felt like 5 mins and I eventually pinned him against the wall. It wasn't that difficult so I assumed he didn't want to kill me which was really confusing.
"Who do you work for?"
He just looked at me with a smirk and looked towards his hand. I followed his gaze and saw a button and I knew exactly what he was going to do. I tried to grab the button but he just shoved me down and unexpectedly hand cuffed me to a pole. Finally he spoke.
" You know that wasn't so difficult, maybe you need better lessons, maybe from someone who has more experience than your dad"
I now knew who he worked for. He worked for my dad's enemy. Michael Ray. This guy wasn't here to steal mine and Chloe's case from us. He was there to kill us.
"So now you have me handcuffed, go ahead kill me"
He just chuckled and looked like he was amused.
"Oh honey I'm not here to kill you" he said
"Then why are you here?"
He didn't say anything, all he did was grab my radio and break it. Leaving me no communication to Chloe.
"If it were my decision I would kill you, but Michael believes the best was to kill you is mentally."
I was really confused by what he meant.
"What do you mean?"
He just looked and me a chuckled. He grabbed the button again and put it in my hand and made me hold the button down with my thumb.
" Your going to never live with yourself again now that you hold the stakes of Chloe's life."
I was really pissed now. He thinks that blowing up the building will kill Chloe. What he doesn't know is that if we ever loose communication we abort the mission. So Chloe's not in the building anymore.
" I bet your thinking that Chloe's not in the building anymore, well your wrong. She's tied up next to the bomb"
He smirked again making me even more mad. I'm not letting go of the button even if i sit here forever.
"Your not going to be able to sit there forever love"
What is he doing reading my mind!?!?
" If you don't let go of the button in 30 seconds I'm going to make you"
This guy thinks he can make me, I'm not letting go. 30 seconds later he spoke again
"Looks like I'm going to have to make you."
He grabs my hand with the button and fights with me to pull the button out of my hand. Sadly he eventually gets it out and the building explodes. He turns to the flames and makes a look of pure amusement. Then turns back to me and smirks.
"Here's the key Haley, have fun living with the death of your Partner"
He then throws the key to the handcuffs to me and runs away as fast as he could before I could even attempt to kill him for what he just did.
I hear the police sirens and fire truck sirens heading towards the building. I look over the ledge of the building I'm on and see a growing crowed and already a couple police officers. I wish there was something I could do but Chloe's already dead. I look at my watch and see it's 3 am. CRAP I need to get home before he wakes up. With that I rush home as fast as I can.
