The drive to the Kid's house was quiet. It was a five minute ride and they pulled into a neighborhood that reminded Indigo of hers back home. The house looked big from the outside and only the living room lights were on.
Kid parked and turned off the motorcycle. Indigo got off, pulling her coat over her freezing thighs and walked nosily over to the living room window. His parents were on the couch laughing, looking like a happily married couple. Unbeknownst to her though, this was just one of their good days.
"Those your folks?" She whispered to Kid who had walked up next to her. "Yeah..that's the freak show." Indigo frowned as he walked off. She followed after him to the back of the house and he bent down, unlocking his window downstairs then hopped down inside. It was completely dark.
She bent down and held on to the window handles. "Kid.."
"Come in." His voice answered. I would if I could see a damn thing. Like he was reading her mind, the lights flickered on. Indigo stepped down into his room and closed the windows behind her. I'm actually sneaking into a boys room like I'm in high school or something.
She looked around at the toys and ornaments scattered everywhere. The eyes painted on his wall drew her in. She rubbed it with her hand and felt the smooth paint. "Neat."
She saw that a cassette was still in his player on the dresser. Indigo smirked and wondered what he was last listening to. Pushing it in and pressing play, a familiar toon came through that brought a smile to her face.
"Boo!"
She jumped and turned around, grabbing her chest. "You play too much!" Kid laughed at her reaction and went over to sit on his bed. "That's what you get for trying to scare me back at the club."
"I wasn't trying to scare you." Indigo took off her coat and hung it on his rack. "Chaka is one of my favorites."
He smiled, watching her closely. "Mine too."
She dug in her pocket and took out the tape that she had held onto for so long. "I haven't played this for anyone since getting here, but since you know a lil sum, I'll let you be the first to listen."
Indigo took out Sweet Thing and popped in her's. She looked over at him and slowly pressed play.
Kid listened closely as keys started to play and he instantly knew what it was. When the voice came through, he opened his eyes and looked up into Indigo's. "That's you?"
She bit her lip and nodded slowly. Kid got up and walked over to her. "It's beautiful..your voice."
"Thank you.."
They stood there listening to Indigo sing.
Got no time is what you're known to say
I'll make you wish there was forty eight hours to each day
The problem is you ain't been loved like you should
What I got to give will sure 'nough do you goodShe lifted her hand up and put it on Kid's chest, feeling his heartbeat. "King Kong." She joked about his chest hair.
"Stop.." He chuckled, moving her hand and brought his up to the slit in the top of her dress. "Uh uh." Indigo said, moving his hand too.
They stared at one another, their smiles and smirks slowly dropping. Kid leaned in and softly pecked Indigo's full lips. Damn.
Indigo felt that sensation again down in her stomach at the feeling of his lips touch hers. Damn.
He pecked them again, turning his head to kiss her properly. She ran her hands up his chest and around his neck as they kissed slowly. When his tongue swiped her bottom lip she opened her mouth and accepted him in. Kid grabbed her waist, pulling them flush together, making her moan.
