"Kate?"

I wait a few more minutes before knocking again, hoping I didn't damage our relationship too badly.

Ten more minutes and I'll have to leave without her or I'll be late...

Hey. I'm down here waiting if you wanna walk to school.

She doesn't reply, and before I know it, ten minutes have passed. I leave for school, severely regretting my decision.

During each of my classes, we do nothing. Something big happened, but it doesn't seem to involve anything too serious. In fact, everyone seems pretty excited.

After school, Mr. F (the principle) approaches me.

"Are you okay, Peter? You seemed distracted today."

"I'm fine, thanks."

"Is it about Kate?"

"...Yeah."

"Ah. You just learn you love her?"

"No, not at all."

"Hm...you piss her off?"

"Yeah. I was gonna bring her some of her favorite food."

"That's not gonna work by itself."

"How would you know?"

"Just a theory I have. Katelyn wasn't here all day, so either her calendar was off or something happened to her. Maybe she has depression. Bring her flowers just in case."

"...Alright. Thanks, Mr. F."

"No problem, Peter."

I went home and cooked, got some flowers, and went over to Kate's house.

Again, texting and knocking doesn't have an effect.

After an hour, I head back home. She must really be mad at me...

I sit on the couch for a few hours, eating the lasagna and overthinking everything again.

Where could she be? She always answers the door, always texts back...why isn't she?

I go to bed, too tired to deal with anything.

In the morning, I get ready for school and head straight there. I figured she would need a few days, so there's no point in waking her up.

The school day passes as boring as it usually does. Actually, I think it somehow got even more boring. Maybe joining a club or something would help....

After school, I get my stuff and look around at the flyers for the different clubs. The clubs I'm most interested in already have the most members they could possibly hold (which is surprising for some of them).

I'm not good at anything related to literature or drawing, so those clubs are out of the question. While reading is cool and all, I can do that on my own time. Gaming club? Maxed out on members, of course. Programming's at max, science is at max...

What in the actual fuck is the Dark Blood Club?

I head to Room 268 to get more information.
