We exit the restaurant after a few hours, with Anna eating as little as I would allow her. I had to stop Kate from eating everything, as they were running low on food.

We dropped off Kate, who was tired (although she didn't want to admit it), then dropped off Anna, who kept asking to spend the night, and I went to bed without a second thought.

In the morning, we all meet up at the school, but I can't help but feel that something's off.

This feeling stays with me all day, making it slower than normal.

When the three of us meet up after school, we all decide to head to my house.

"So what happened today?" Anna asks.

"Nothing, but I keep getting the feeling that something's off."

"Like something's supposed to be happening that isn't?"

"Exactly."

"I've been feeling that, too."

"So have I," Kate says. "I almost feel like I'm forgetting something."

"Yeah...hey, Anna, did you eat lunch?"

"Yeah, actually."

"And you're not lying?"

"No."

"Then you're making a pretty quick recovery from your anorexia."

"Yeah. Guess I am."

We all reach my house, and watch some cartoons.

After a few hours, Kate and Anna go to their houses (both reluctant to do so), and I go to bed.

In the morning, I find Anna outside my door, sitting down, and...crying?

"Hey, Anna, what's up?" I ask as I sit next to her.

"Eh? O-Oh...h-hi..."

"What's wrong?"

"Y-You...d-don't wanna know..."

"Did something happen between you and Kate?"

Anna shakes her head.

"You have to leave the city for family reasons?"

Anna nods.

"Ah. Well, we at least have each other's number, right?"

Anna suddenly hugs me tightly.

"I-I...I don't w-wanna..."

"I know. And I don't want you to. You gonna be back anytime soon?"

"N-No. W-We're going across the c-country..."

"Oh. I...I'm sorry. Why are you moving?"

"BECAUSE I FUCKING STABBED SOMEONE!"

"...Oh...and you feel like-"

"IT IS MY FAULT, PETER!"

"Well, what happened? You get mad at them for being annoying?"

"PETER!"

"Alright, I'll ask later. However..."

"Eh?"

"Until we can see each other on a regular basis, I don't think-"

"We have to break up," Anna says, calming down enough to stop her stuttering. "They'll ask you questions if they find out we were dating at all."

"...Glad to see we were on the same page. Now, Anna, I want you to delete my number."
