Chapter 8 - Insane

In the morning, I meet Anna at the school. Other than that, the school day is pretty boring as usual.

I wait for Anna for a few hours after school.

When she doesn't show up, I go to her last class to see if she's there.

Hey, Anna, are you alright?

Help me!

Where are you?

I'm not quite sure...

Well, I'm in a dark room with little to no light, bound to a chair by some pretty thin and tight ropes. Also, I might be bleeding.

I'll try to find you. Do you know if you're still on school campus?

I think I am, but I'm not sure.

Wait, if you're bound to a chair, then how are you texting?

They bound my upper arms to the chair, but not my forearms. Just enough space to get my phone out.

Can you reach the ropes?

Almost...not quite.

I search the school, checking every room students are allowed to be in.

Eventually, I reach the third floor, finding a room with the lights off.

"Anna, are you in here?"

"Yeah! I'm in the corner!"

"Which one?"

"To the left of the entrance!"

Turning my phone's flashlight on, I hurry to the corner Anna's in, seeing how tight the cords were.

"Are you alright?" I ask, taking out my pocket knife.

"I'm fine. Is there any blood?"

"Not that I can see."

Cutting the cords, I check again for blood (not finding any), and we head to my house.

We sit down and watch TV for a while, calming down.

"So...how long were you tied up?"

"Since the beginning of the day."

"...Wow."

"Yeah, but it wasn't too bad. Whoever my captor was kept me alive."

"...They made you eat, didn't they?"

"IT WAS PURE TORTURE!"

"At least you're alive."

"Yeah, but..."

"...So did you get the name of your captor?"

"Kristine."

"Yet another name that sounds familar."

"Yeah, it sounded familiar to me as well, so I did a bit of digging on the school's website and apparently me and her have a few of the same classes."

We hear a bomb go off near the school.

Give me the girl.
