Life in the TARDIS

The Argument

Julia aged to 5 years old. She was getting lonely, Ten thought.

"ROSE LETS GET A PUPPY." He exclaimed one morning.

"What?! We can't just get a puppy." She argued.

"But it would make little Julia so happy!!"

Rose sighed and gave in.

"Fine. Nine's at work so we can go get it now." She grabbed her car keys. Ten followed her out happily and got into the passenger seat. They drove away to the pet store.

Ten knew this puppy thing would make Nine upset, but he wanted his little one to be pleased and not lonley. They knew they'd have to send her to school soon also, but its not easy to when you are a timelord. Rose and Ten had become the main parents of Julia and thought they should be the ones to register her. Nine argued, but he let in when he saw how much it looked like they were Julia's parents.

Rose still hadn't married but she was technically married to Ten. She didn't know who she would marry. She wasn't ready just yet, but she was ready for a child. Nine was angry the day Rose and Ten told him they were going to register Julia. Deep in his hearts, he wanted to be the father to the child but he knew he couldn't argue and win with Rose.

"ooh, this one is adorable!! Let's get him!" Ten pointed to a toy poodle puppy. It would basically stay small forever.

"Alright. Let's go pay." Rose smiled and went to the cashier while Ten held the puppy. It whimpered but then settled down cuddling in Ten's neck.

Nine came 'home' from work. He recently got a job as a lawman. He would always say he wasn't good at the job. Many people got on his nerves and such. He sat down on the couch and found little Julia sitting on the floor.

"Well how long have you been home alone?" He asked her.

"About an hour, daddy."

Nine froze. Did she think he was Ten or...

"I'm not-" he was cut off by Rose and Ten entering the door with a little bundle of fluff in Rose's hands.

Ten had heard what Julia said.

"Sweetie im your daddy." He said and picked her up. "Aye ten! Just when I was starting to get attention." Rose smiled and set the puppy down.

"And what the bloody hell is that?" Nine said getting red in the face. He stood up and left the room, he simply couldnt handle what Rose and Ten had just done.

"You two might as well go get married!" He yelled from his room, fuming.

Rose looked at Ten.

"I'll go talk to him."

She knocked on his door.

"Knock knock..?" She said quietly.

Nine turned around and sighed. "What."

"Look I'm sorry!! Someday you'll love this little guy. He's so cu-"

"I'm not upset about the dog. I'm upset about you and Ten."

"What?"

"Rose...I've loved you for a long time. But it's very clear that you'd rather be with Ten than me. I mean, you basically have a child with him and a dog. That's the modern family for you."

Rose looked down sadly. "I didn't kno-"

"Just get out."

"W-what..?"

"Get out Rose."

She back out of the door way and started to sob and ran into her room, slamming the door.

Nine closed his eyes in sorrow.

Ten heard Rose's door slam and he became worried. He rushed to her room.

"Hey Rosey, can I come in?" He said softly.

"Yes Ten." She whimmpered. He slowly opened the door to see Rose sobbing on the floor and the vase with the rose in it shattered on the floor.

"Rose... Oh Rose..." Ten said and sat down next to her. "Everything is going to be alright." He stroked her hair.

"Thanks, but I think you are wrong." Rose said

"Really. Maybe he's just grumpy alright? We'll see how he is tomorrow..." Ten said. He knew part of that wasn't all that true.

Nine covered his face with his hands.

"What did I do..." His eyes were clouding up but he quickly wiped them so he wouldn't cry. His face was red and so were his eyes from he clouding. He looked at a picture of Rose and him on the day after they met. It was when he took her to see the end of the world....he almost lost her. He threw it against a wall and the glass protecting the picture shattered around the floor. He was scared. Scared that Rose would never forgive him in her lifetime.

Ten decided to stay with Rose that night to comfort her. "Oh Ten," she sighed "Why can't it work out that I could marry both of you. I love both of you so." Ten blushed and sighed.

"Rose, you could, if you really wanted. But it would mean taking Nine. When Nine regenerates into me, youd have me. But you'd have to promiss to love all the regenerations after that." Rose flopped over onto her belly.

"I just don't know." She said. Ten looked into her eyes. Rose leaned forward and they hugged.

Ten smiled. "Should we go talk to him?"

Julia got up from playing with the puppy and stumbled into Nine's room. She saw he was laying on his bed sorrowful.

"Other papa?" She squealed. She jumped up the bed and cuddled with him. "It's okay other papa. Mommy not mad."

Somehow she knew what was going on. Nine supposed she heard the yelling and such. Nine smiled and kissed Julia on the forehead. He then lay down and rested a little bit. Julia climbed onto his stomach and fell asleep. She rose and fell as Nine breathed.

Ten knocked on Nine's door. "Hey, we really need to talk." He said. Ten slowly opened the door. Nine sat up holding Julia in a bear hug.

"What is this about Ten?" He said. Ten looked at Julia and smiled.

"The three of us need to discuss Julia. I dont want us fighting over her all the time." Ten said sympathetically. Rose walked into the room.

"I was thinking that you two could both be her father. Just as Julia said, daddy and other daddy. Both of you together. Nine and Ten smiled happily.

"Sounds good to us." They said

Julia jumped off of Nine's stomach.

"Alright...don't jump off....climb off..." He grunted as he held his stomach but smiled. He got up.

"I'm sorry Rose. I shouldn't have hurt you...." He looks down.

"It's alright.. I forgive you."

She smiled and gave him a quick kiss. She giggled as his face turned bright red. Nine rubbed the back of his head and smiled.

Julia jumped into Ten's arms. "Daddy, I have two daddy's now and one mommy?"

"That does seem to be a problem doesnt it sweety?" Ten said to Julia.

"Theres not much we can do about it" nine said. Rose smiled, feeling very special.

"Aw well there's enough of me for the three of you." She said

"No daddy." She smiled and hugged him.

Nine smiled and hugged Rose tightly. A few tears streamed down his face.

"Thank you for forgiving me Rose."
