Chapter 3

Daichi pov

I step off my bike and put it away as I get my bag to walk and go to the gym. It is 4 in the afternoon and I hear music coming from the gym. Sugawara and I are the only ones with a key. So what the fuck is going on. I open the gym door and see rainbows everywhere. "What the-" Sugawara places his hand on my mouth and tells me to watch my language in front of the first years. "Hinata just told us he is gay. So we are kind of having a little party to celebrate that the guys in our team have the courage to tell us that. Isn't that lovely?" He smiles so soft and sweet. "Why would you celebrate that?" I ask as I run my hand through my hair. "Okay you got me, it started as a joke and now we are just having fun." He chuckles and drags me to the orange haired boy who wears a rainbow cape. "Hey Daichi, can I ask you something. In private?" I nod and walk outside again. Hinata takes off his cape and follows me quietly. "If you aren't gay, can I have Sugawara? Can I make a move?" He looks at me with his big sparkly eyes and I just don't know what to say. Of course, he may not take him. But. But... "I'm not sure if he likes you. But you can always try." What that said I walk back inside with my face showing obvious signs of displeasure. Hinata runs through the door and jumps on Sugawara. Get off my best friend, shrimp. "Hinata, what are you doing." Sugawara laughs and gives Hinata a hug. Hinata starts yelling. "Guys listen!" Everyone turns around and watches Hinata. "I have something to say." He smiles like an idiot and looks at me. "Sugawara. I have a huge crush on you." Everyone gasps, and I hear whispers everywhere. I look at Sugawara and he looks at me. We know exactly what we are thinking. Don't you dare to answer that. "Hinata, I do not have feelings for you. But, we could try a few dates?" Hinata, don't you dare. Don't touch my best friend. Ever. "Really?! Oh my god!!!!" He grabs Sugawara his shirt and pulls him into a kiss. That's it. I'm out of here. I turn around and walk away. I grab my bike and cycle towards my house while I hear them yelling my name. My phone starts to vibrate, and I look at the screen. Sugawara. I answer the call. "What."

"What, what? What do you think? I thought we talked this through? Besides that, we have practice. So come back."

"Tell them I am sick. I'm not coming back."

"I'm coming over after practice."

"No, you're not. I'm not opening the door."

"What is wrong with you? I don't get it. Are you upset about Hinata? He says he asked you for permission. Don't act different than your words. This is so not like you. You'll always stay my number 1. But you told me it will never happen." He stays quiet for a while before he asks me this. "Is it your parents? Did they teach you gay isn't okay?"

"Suga... They tried to teach me. But I never listened. But they are not okay with that. I'm going to hang up. Bye Koushi."

"You never call me Koushi, Daichi please tell me what is goi-"

I put away my phone and cycle home as fast as I can. I never ditched practice before. This is so not me, just like he said.
