Free Verse: Hate Is Hope
Many say that love is a beauty,
Limitless,
Dream making.
Many say that hate is ugly,
Worthless,
Disgusting.
But what if they are wrong?
What if these opinions are untrue?
What if the truth could change the world,
the world around me and you?
I believe that love is bad,
that love is the poison,
that makes you mad.
When love is good,
Love is fine,
But when love is bad,
it's far from divine.
If you love someone,
and they don't love you back,
then this supposed beauty,
can knock you off track.
It crushes you,
It damages you,
It infects your heart and mind.
It takes away your hopes and dreams,
And leaves you
Hollow inside.
Now I hear you ask,
Why hate?
Why the thing that drives us crazy?
The answer is so crystal clear,
but we're too in love with the idea of love to see,
it's harder to undertand to hate,
because love's idea is easy.
It's hard to escape the vice-like grip of love,
that drives you near insane,
but at least if you are full of hate,
there's a chance you'll love again...
