It was a gloomy fall day as the sun tried hard to peak through the cloud coverage when a boy's alarm clock started screaming.

Said boy groaned, turning it off with a slam of his hand and sighed. This boy was going to start high school today and he couldn't care less.

Putting on a long sleeve shirt, he glanced at his arm to see some scars fading. Tugging his sleeve over them he went to the kitchen to get some breakfast.

"Oh, look. It's the disappointment." He heard. He looked up to see his older brother, Jeon Jeheon. (A/N: Yes I'm aware that's actually not his brother's name... I'm using a random name.)

"Morning to you too, Jeheon." He grumbled.

'Privileged college prick.' He thought, grabbing a bagel and taking it back to his room.

He looked at his colorless room, wondering what it would look like if he could see color. It was quite weird but apparently if you and your soulmate touch, you see color.

It was actually funny seeing girls frantically touch every boy in middle school. The boy just sighed as he put all his homework in his bag and walked out the door.

Taking in the late summer breeze he walked to his friend's house down the street.

"Worthless piece of shit!" He heard someone yell, already knowing where it came from. He stood outside his friend's house waiting for him to run out like usual.

"Do something useful for once, you damn brat." He heard before a door opened.

He looked up to see his friend fast walking towards him, anger and sadness both showed well on his face. Stepping closer, he could see a dark mark on his cheek.

"Hey, Jimin." He greeted trying to bring his friend's mood up.

"Jungkook." He plainly said, gripping his backpack as the two started walking to school.

"You...excited for Sophomore year?"

Jimin scoffed, "More like ready for Senior year."

Jungkook wished he knew what to do but he felt so useless, "I'm sorry. I wish I could help you."

"It's fine, I'm used to it."

The two were quiet as they got closer to the school.

Jungkook noticed his surroundings. Being a freshman he really didn't know where to go. He took his schedule out noticing he had history first.

"Jimin where's this history class?" He asked, showing him his schedule. Jimin looked at it.

"Oh, him. He's not that bad of a guy. Go all the way down this way, turn left, go halfway and his room is on the left."

Jungkook nodded, going to his assigned locker. "Whoops, sorry shortie. Maybe if you were a few inches taller I would be able to see you and we wouldn't knock into each other."

Jungkook heard as he turned to see Jimin and some boy that he barely remembered from middle school. Ugh this asshole...

He got his stuff and walked over to his friend, not caring about anything. Jimin didn't deserve all these remarks. He already has it tough at home.

"Come on, Jimin. Let's go to class." Jungkook grabbed Jimin and lead him away.

"Aww I didn't know baby had a babysitter. No wonder you're so small! Your mind's probably not even developed yet." He heard, feeling Jimin tense.

"Don't listen do them Jimin. You're really smart and beautiful. Don't worry about them. They don't know what they're missing."

"Whatever..." Jimin said, head facing down to not meet anyone's gaze.

Jungkook sighed, pulling him into a hug, "Jimin, your my best friend. Nothing will ever change that. See you after school, ok?"

Jimin nodded silently and the two leave for class. Jungkook walked back to see the stupid bully again going towards the same room.

"Oh, look it's the babysitter." He smirked.

Jungkook glared wishing his glare could burn the stupid sophomore down to nothing. He stepped into his class and started the day.

Jungkook was thankful that he had lunch with Jimin. It was the greatest time of the day.

"So how many papers did you receive for your parents to sign?" Jungkook asked, eating a piece of his chicken patty sandwich.

Jimin rolled his eyes, "Too many." He ate a bite. Jungkook nodded and the two ate in peace.

He looked up at Jimin to see his eyes looking somewhere. Jungkook followed his eyes to see a small boy, well small compared to him...he was about the same height as Jimin. He had a pretty rough glare on his face that made you not want to talk to him.

"Yo! Yoongi; man! Over here!" They heard and Jungkook looked over to the corner table where the cool bullies sat to see their leader. He couldn't really remember the jerks name but he didn't care.

He watched the so-called Yoongi walk to the table and saw in the corner of his eye Jimin deflating.

Ah, young love...Wait, is Jimin seriously eyeing up a boy? Not that he cared since he believed he was gay too.

"Jimin?"

Jimin jumped and looked to Jungkook like a deer caught in highlights, "Yeah?"

"Were you eyeing up that guy?" He asked.

Jimin took a quick bite of his food, "Maybe..." He mumbled, cheeks going to another shade of grey symbolizing he was blushing.

Jungkook suddenly had the urge to see in color. He wondered what Jimin's hair looked like, his skin color, his clothes.

Not that he was saying he liked Jimin in that way. They were best friends since middle school when Jimin moved to the house he lived in now.

Though Jimin always likes to tease Jungkook saying how he was born in Busan first.

"Well it looks like he's one of the stupid bullies so I wouldn't worry too much about him. He's probably the same."

Jimin silently nodded and the two finish their lunch in time for their next class.

Jungkook couldn't be more excited for the last class of the day. It was music class and he loved to sing.

Walking to the chorus room he gets shoved aside and hits the wall. "Get out of the way Freshman." He heard. He looked to see he was pushed by none other than Jackson, the Junior bully and next to him was that scumbag from this morning.

The name still couldn't register in his mind, not that he cared. "Maybe we should call you babysitter? I have a baby for you to sit if you want me to." The other one smirked.

"Good one Taehyung." Jackson laughed as the two walked towards the chorus room.

Ah...yes. Now he remembers. The name of Jimin's greatest enemy, Kim Taehyung.
