Tuesday night we all have dinner together. Even though we do this every week, we don't get to chat like this everytime. My dad and brothers have been so busy they don't feel like talking by the time dinner rolls around. But tonight, my dad wants to hear all about what everyone has been up to. He starts with my mom, then onto my brothers, saving me for last. I'm glad I changed my hoodie before dinner.

"So Chloe, how has school been going?"

"Good, I'm doing good in most of my classes, math is still getting to me though."

"Do you need some help from your brothers? I'm sure they can help you figure it out."

"Thats okay Dad, I have someone to help me already."

"Who?"

"Wyatt is pretty good at math, we're all bringing our homework tomorrow to help each other out. Wyatt needs help with English so its kind of a win-win."

"Is he being good to you?" He looks directly at me, being completely serious.

"Yeah, he is. He's really good to me Dad. You don't have to worry."

"You're my daughter, of course I'm going to worry. But I'm glad he makes you happy."

I wake up a little earlier than necessary, I just want to see Wyatt. Oddly enough he woke up early too, and said he could pick me up. I got myself ready and told Wyatt he could come over whenever he was ready. I wouldn't mind if we had to sit in his car for a little before Becky and Grayson showed up. I just like spending as much time with him as I can.

"Hey there pretty girl. Did you bring your math homework?" Wyatt says when I reach his car.

"I did, did you bring your English essay notes?"

"I did, thank you for agreeing to help me. You're a lifesaver."

"You are too, my math grade is suffering." I laugh as Wyatt starts the car.

We end up getting to the coffee shop half an hour early. I don't mind though, I got to talk to Wyatt. When we see Grayson's car we decide to get out, walking into the coffee shop together. I order everyone's drinks while Wyatt sits at our table. When I stand and wait for the drinks I look over at Wyatt, seeing him already looking at me. He looks away with pink cheeks, greeting Grayson and Becky as they sit down.

"I feel like our Wednesdays are getting further and further apart every week." Grayson says as I sit down.

"Yeah, me too. I feel like I have no idea whats going on in everyone's life anymore." I say.

"Well, whats been happening Wyatt? You start us off."

"Well, I got a girlfriend. Finally,"

"Wait, what? Please tell me its you Chloe." Grayson looks at me.

"Yeah, we're together."

"Yes! Finally! I'm really happy for you guys. That's great."

"I don't want to keep any secrets in the group, and I didn't want it to be weird if Chloe and I act different and then you guys not know, although I'm sure Becky already knows." Wyatt laughs.

"Well, what's going on with everyone else?" I say, changing the subject.

"Nothing as exciting as that," Becky laughs. "But I'm glad we're all bringing our homework in because this history class is killing me."

"You know I could just come over and help you right?" Grayson says.

"Yeah, I guess. But this way I can put it off longer."

"Ever the procrastinator."

We all get our homework out after we share about our week. Once Grayson finishes his dramatic story from his class today, we decide its time to get to work. Grayson helps Becky, while Wyatt and I help each other. He says we can start off with my math, I think he just wants to avoid working on his essay.

"So what don't you get?"

"All of it." I laugh. "I mean, in class he just talks and talks and I don't get anything that he says."

"You don't ask anything?"

"Wyatt, I don't even understand what he says to even ask. I don't understand what I don't understand."

"Okay, well, lets start at the beginning."

~

After over an hour of Wyatt trying to explain to me what I'm supposed to know, I realize I won't be able to understand it if he keeps sitting so close to me. His eyes are so green today and his lips are so close I don't know if I can hold myself back from kissing him any longer.

"What? Did I lose you?" Wyatt laughs.

"I don't even know what you said to me. Your eyes are distracting me."

"Maybe I'll wear sunglasses next time."

"No, then your lips will be my next distraction."

"This was not a good idea was it?" He laughs. "Lets take a break from your math, seeing as we won't be getting anywhere with it today. Do you want to start on my essay now?"

"Yeah, lets see what you've got." I look at what is supposed to be Wyatt's essay. He has written what he wants to get across in his essay, but not much else.

"So, what do you think?"

"Um, it could use some work."

"That bad?"

"As bad as my math skills. Sorry."

"Well I guess its a good thing you're so smart and can help me." Wyatt gives me a hopeful smile.

"I hope so."

~

We spend the rest of the day there. Literally, the whole day. We stayed so long it was dark and the coffee shop employees had to ask us to leave. We didn't want the day to end. It was so nice to have our day together and have each other there to help with homework. I helped Wyatt almost finish his essay, we only have a little more to go. He helped me understand all I didn't in math, and trust me, it was a lot. Becky helped Grayson with some weird class he was taking, and he helped her with history. We also talked a lot about what was going on in our lives. Only seeing each other once a week was tough. We missed out on so much. I miss the summer when we had all the time in the world. If life is so busy now, how will we ever see each other when we finish school?
