My One Wish

Chapter Four

Chapter Four

(Nash's POV)

When I can finally feel my legs again I slowly make my way back into the kitchen.

When I reach the kitchen I see Anna within arms reach of my mother. My father glancing between me and Anna with a huge knowing smile planted on his slightly wrinkled face.

I clear my throat and everyone turns to look at me. "Where have you been honey?" my Mom asks, narrowing her eyes. "I uh... I..." I clear my throat again. "Living room."

"You do realize that Dad 2 left you in there like 5 minutes ago..." Anna laughs. "Were you day dreaming again Nash?"

"No Anna, I-" she cuts me off 

"Oh sorry, I mean "Thinking" were you "Thinking" again Nash?"  She laughs harder now, and my parents look confused but laugh along anyway. They are all prone to my space outs.

"Yes, I was thinking. I was thinking about weather or not I should let you still stay here." I say with a scowl set on my face.

"Oh Nashy don't be like that. You know I was only partly kidding. You know I love you." She grins. My stomach does a little flip at that. I want to hear her say that again. Only this time I want her to mean it the way I mean it. I want her to love me like I love her and I want her to say she loves me, like I love her.

I snap back to reality when I see her walking towards me with a smile on her face. When she reaches me she pinches my face and then puts her arms around my neck and pulls me into a hug. After about a nano second I put my hands on her waist and pull her close to me, hugging her back.

I bury my face in the crook of her neck breathing in her sweet peach and water Lilly sent.

While I'm here breathing her in I think about the day when I'd finally be able to kiss her neck. When I'd finally be able to do all the things I've dreamed of.

You know... without it getting weird for her.

Me? I'd love every second of my lips on her sweet neck.

Suddenly I remember that she and I, arn't the only ones in the room. So I reluctantly open my eyes, and glance up to look at my parents. Who are oddly both grinning at me. You have got to be kidding me! Mom knows too? Come on! They BOTH know how I feel about Anna? I mean COME ON!

When me and Anna pull away from each other my Dad clears his throat, and starts to ask Anna more questions. If i didn't know any better I'd say they haven't seen her for years instead of just hours.  

I look over to my Mom's smiling face and mouth "You know?!" In return her smile widens and her eyes light up and she nods.

"How?" I mouth, my jaw hanging loose. Instead of saying anything, she nods her head towards my Dad. 'Of course he would tell her...' I think bitterly to myself and turn to scowl at my Father, who is too busy questioning Anna to notice...

Two hours later my parents leave taking half of our pizza with them.

By this time we are sitting in the living room watching some really bad TV. I look over at her smiling and laughing at the incredibly bad jokes that aren't funny in any way.

But watching Anna's face light up like that it's impossible not to smile. When I realize I've been staring at her I stand up. "I - uh, I'm going to get a drink. want one?"

"Sure. Diet Coke please." She smiles up at me. I smile back at her and nod. Leaving the room.

'Okay' i thought to myself. 'You can do this... time to set your plan into action. Time to make Anna fall in love with you.'

Going back into the living room with drinks in my hand. I walk up to the couch and hand her, her drink. When I sit down, I sit closer to her. This time so close that our arms are touching. Okay I know that sounds really lame to get all excited about my arm touching her, but I can't help it. I love when her skin is on mine. I love when I can feel her close to me. I was happy.

That is until Anna moved. I let a sigh escape my lips. 'Oh crap, I hope she didn't notice that.' No sooner had I thought that, she looked up at me with her eyes brows knit together. silently asking me whats wrong. "Oh nothing," I cough. "Just tired." I lie. With that she nods and continues to try and find a comfortable position.

One that ended with her snuggled up to me, and her head on my shoulder. With her so close to me I slide my arm around her waist, and lay my head atop hers. But not before I gently place a kiss on the top of her head.

I don't know why I did it, but for some odd reason I know it was what I had to do. Anna let out a content sigh and I could feel her slowly drifting off to sleep hugging tightly onto my waist.

I loved this so much. I wish we could stay like this forever. With her close to me. I'm so comfortable that I can't help but start to fall asleep too... Holding Anna close to me, breathing in her sweet sent.

I just have to say that this, in the moment is the most content I've ever been, being here with Anna.

While I was drifting to sleep I couldn't help but think how happy I'll be when she finally love me back.
