Phil sat alone on the couch as the music blared and the drunks wailed and screamed around him. He hadn't really wanted to come to the party in the first place as many of his friends had relationships and were likely to go off together and leave him alone which had in fact happened. He had never been one for parties as he was someone who never usually get drunk and more often than not he became the taxi service to all of the drunks that had no way home. He knew one person at this particular party who was also probably alone but he didn't want to search for him and make it to obvious that he was becoming desperate. And then he spotted him, the tall boy that towered over everyone else and was easy to spot, with brown curly hair, beautiful brown eyes, the most gorgeous smile and that Phil was already smiling at the sight of. He was trying to make his way through the dancing drunks that took up most of the living room but managed to make his way over to the boy that awaited him without spilling the two drinks he held in his hands. Phil tried to hide his relief but failed miserably as he instantly lit up and was smiling brightly when Dan approached him. The boy sat down practically on top of him even though there was a whole free couch next to them. They had talked a lot over text but had never really interacted much in person as people always assumed things or forced things upon them so both had become accustomed to talking strictly over text. Phil felt as though he knew Dan very well when really he didn't know enough about him but he knew enough for him to have already fallen for him.

Dan felt his heart race as he sat next to Phil, there was so much to say, so much to do, it had been like having an internet friend and having some sort of distance limiting them when really they could've sat this close whenever they wanted.

"Hi"

Dan said quietly and awkwardly.

"Hi"

Phil said with an equal amount of awkwardness, how do you talk to someone that is so beautiful?.

"I... uh..... I brought you this"

Dan said smiling as he handed Phil the plastic cup that the alcohol was in, the cup had something on it but Phil couldn't make out what it was because of all the flashing lights that confused his eyes even more than usual.

"Oh ... thank you"

His hands were shaking a little as social interaction was hard enough for him but being this close to Dan was something very special to him as he hated just looking at him whenever he came close, he wanted to be this close all the time, he wanted to be able to have contact with him whenever he wanted. They both knew of their love for one another but neither of them admitted to it or spoke about it as over text people fall out over silly things, whereas in person they tend to just shrug it off. Once they had fallen out over something that had happened with a girl and hadn't spoken for a few weeks and it had absolutely broken Phil to the point where he didn't think he would ever get Dan back. Thankfully he somehow did.

After talking for a little while and having both consumed alcohol, Dan had drank a lot more than Phil and was certainly drunk by now, they had become rather tired from all that was happening around them. Dan lay down next to Phil, resting his head on Phil's lap and cuddling into him as much as he could on the couch that wasn't made for someone his height, nothing was.

Phil didn't know how but he soon found himself running his hand through Dan's curly brown hair and he hadn't even realised he was doing it. When he looked down he saw that Dan was sleeping soundly on him which was a sight he thought he'd never see. He studied the boy's beautiful features, the long eyelashes that could've been used to sweep the floor, some faint freckles that made his skin even more beautiful, the dimple that was only half formed as he smiled lightly in his sleep. Although Phil was getting tired himself so with a little manoeuvring he carefully lifted Dan on top of him and started to fall asleep himself.

Dan cuddled into Phil, enjoying the warmth his body brought to him and the sound of his heart beating kept him in a peaceful sleep despite the noise and chaos happening around him, his head nestled under Phil's chin where he seemed to fit perfectly like it was meant to be. No one noticed them either because they didn't care or because they were too drunk to realise that the two boys were together in a tangle of limbs.

They were together.

Finally.
