After two days in Patterdale, Lake District, the group had yet again a travel day, the last one. This time from Patterdale to Newcastle upon Tyne, it would take the group less than two hours to get there by train and bus.
Jasmine and Keith sat the whole trip next to each other, had a laugh at some point and an actual serious conversation. Also did they chat with Cole, Elisabeth and Ann. When the group arrived in Newcastle by train, they still had to walk a kilometre to a shopping mall where they could spent some time before they had to go home with the boat. Liz told the group: ‘You can’t shop alone, you’ve to go in groups of three. We, Eric and I, think that you guys are old enough to divided yourself in to even groups so go ahead and we will see you back in three hours! Have fun!’ That said the group of eleven kids divided themselves in the follow groups: Elisabeth, Ann and Cole, Bella, Lin, Suzy, Caroline and Mariah, Jasmine, Keith and Alex. They all went their own way in the mall.
Jasmine didn’t mind spending some more time with Keith, she started to like him a lot, but she hated the fact that Alex had to go with her and Keith. They both didn’t liked him that much, because he was always hyperactive. He never knew when to stop or to shut up, always went on and on. But Jasmine, Keith and Alex tried all to make the best out of the last couple of hours they had to spent with each other. Almost at the end of their shopping spree they saw Ann, Elisabeth and Cole, the decided to went all to the place where they left off. Here they met the whole group. When they were complete, they left to the bus station to take the bus to the boat. Everyone talked in the bus about the stuff they had bought, it were loads of clothing items and souvenirs.
