Blackpool: Ever After

Chapter 1

There once was a place at the west coast of England, near the Irish Sea named Blackpool.

In Blackpool were two people, a boy named Keith and a girl named Jasmine, on vacation with a youth group. They have already spent a whole week in other parts of England, but they never had a really good and deep conversation.

Blackpool isn't really the place you want to be. It's very depressing, there are lots of casino's, strange looking people, the smell of fish and chips and things that actually can't be done or seen in daylight.

The depressing feeling got to Jasmine on the beach. You could read off her face that she wasn't feeling alright. Keith saw it and started walking next to Jasmine. Keith asked Jasmine: 'What's wrong?' 'The beach brings back so many memories where I don't want to think off. ': answered Jasmine. It were happy memories of Jasmine's childhood, memories of when her parents were still together and everything looked alright. There also came back other memories, of the times she had tried suicide, those were the times she stood in the kitchen with a knife thinking of she would do it and who would miss her. Jasmine started to tear up while telling her story. Keith looked at her, Jasmine could see in his eyes how sorry he felt for her.

After that it got very quiet. Keith and Jasmine just stood there on the beach, looking out over the sea.

When Keith and Jasmine returned to the group they went back to their hotel, they didn't talk on their way to get there. Just walked next to each other in an awkward silence.

Back in the hotel they went their own way. Back to their own rooms where their roommates were. Both trying to get their minds of what was said on the beach, both tried that in their own way.

Jasmine tried it by the way of repacking her backpack. While doing that she had some music on, depressing music, she better couldn't have done that. Jasmine went from feel quit alright to wanting to die. Her 2 roommates, Elisabeth and Ann, saw it and tried to talk Jasmine out of it. They said things like: 'It's gonna be alright.' 'It's gonna be/get better' 'See how far you have come in this vacation, see what you've done so far!'. But whatever they said, it didn't make Jasmine feel better, she still wanted to die.

Out of nowhere knocked Keith on their door, just wanting to have a chat. He saw how bad it was with Jasmine and walked in to help her, but got send away by Elisabeth and Ann to get one of the adults they were traveling with. Keith agreed and went away to get one of the adults. It took him ten minutes do decide to get the adult or not, he wanted to help Jasmine himself. But he listened to the roommates and chose the adult.

With Jasmine talking to the adult, Liz, it still took an hour to talk the image of wanting to die out of her head. After it was almost out of her head, it was better that she went to sleep. Maybe that the next day would come sooner.
