Tuesday, December 25th
Jess woke up early in the morning to make herself a nice breakfast for Christmas day. It consisted of pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast with blackberry jelly, and a glass of orange juice. For her small framed body, she sure could eat a lot. She spent the rest of her day lounging around, and watching Christmas movies on The Hallmark Channel for the most part.
She facetimed Nathan as it got later in the evening, but they weren't able to talk very long since Nathan's "mother" kept nagging him to get out of his room and spend time with his "family."
Bryant, however, had spent most of the day finishing up extra work at home that way his workload for when he got back from vacation would be slightly smaller. He needed to pass time anyways, so that was his most productive option on the board.
He looked over at his phone to check the time after he'd finally finished a decent amount of work. 6:43. He arose from behind his desk at his in-home office and made his way down the hall and to his bedroom. He threw on a grey button down shirt, rolled the sleeves, and looped his belt through his dark jeans, and slipped on his casual dress shoes before grabbing his keys and heading out the door to the Anderson's home.

"How'd you know I wanted one of these, Jess?" Bryant asked as he took the strikingly beautiful watch out of its case.
She grinned at him and pulled her legs into to sit Indian style since they were on the carpet by the tree. "Well," she said, "I definitely didn't pry it out of my dad or anything."
"You really shouldn't have," he explained as he placed his hand atop hers, "I know how pricey these can get. This had to have been over 200 huh?"
"Yeah," she said, "something like that. You like it though, right?"
"I love it," he explained as he fastened it around his left wrist, "how's it look?"
"Great," she smiled warmly. Bryant admired his newly acquired watch for a few more moments. "Okay, your gift was pretty good," he said, "but I still think mine is better."
"Sure. There's no way you know exactly what I wanted like I did for you, I didn't tell anyone," she jokingly bragged. He simply pulled out an envelope, "here."
"Aww, a Christmas card?! How'd you know?" She sarcastically exclaimed. It still made her beyond happy that Bryant was one of the only people that enjoyed, and reciprocated her sarcasm. She practically learned it from him in the first place. "I'm just that good," he smiled, "go on, open it," he motioned to her.
Jess opened up the card and a simple, blank paper in a rectangular shape fell into her lap. She set the card down before picking up the piece of paper. Jess read it aloud, "Pick a place and go there."
She simply looked up at Bryant, very confused for that matter. "Care to explain?"
Bryant shrugged, "If I must. Pick a place, anywhere you want to go, and I'll pay for your trip there."
"Alone?"
"If you want, or you can take a friend, but just one.. the more you take the less I can pay for you to do while you are whever you choose to go," he explained.
"Okay..." she said, "when do I have to go?"
"Whenever you like, just let me know atleast two weeks or so ahead of time," he said.
She smiled warmly at him and leaned over, "Thank you, B, really."
"Told you my gift was better," he joked as he lightly place an arm around her backside.
