Sunday

The five of them sat around the table enjoying a nice breakfast before Jess and Nathan had to catch their flight back to Clemson. Most of the time was spent by Jess's parents bombarding Nathan with various questions about school and his life in general, but he didn't mind.

Bryant remained quiet for a majority of the time, just listening to the conversation. One by one the group started to get their fill of the meal. It was not very long after 9 o'clock that Jess's Uber driver notfied her that he was outside.

"I guess we'd better get going," Jess pointed out, "Let's go grab our bags," she continued as she placed a hand atop Nathan's shoulder. The two of them made their way upstairs to retrieve their luggage.

Nathan carried both suitcases down the hall and set them at the door. He shook Christian's and Bryant's hands and gave Elizabeth a hug after he made his way back into the kitchen.

"It was very nice meeting all of you. Thank you for sharing your lovely home for the weekend, Mrs. Anderson. I'm gonna go ahead and take our luggage out to the car. Until next time," He smiled kindly.

A combination of goodbyes were said in response to him. "Bye mom, dad," Jess sweetly said as she gave both of them hugs. "Bye, pumpkin," her daid said as he tightly squeezed her before letting go. The two of them had always been a bit closer then Jess and her mother.

Bryant finally spoke up after he cleared his throat, "I'll walk you out. See you guys later this week," he said as he patted Christian on the back.

"I'll see you again at the Christmas party in no time, B," she smiled up at him as they reached his car in the driveway.

"Promise me you won't do anything stupid with pretty boy while you're gone alright?" He joked.

She rolled her eyes in response, "You need to come up with a better nickname for him. But yes, I promise."

"I'll see you at Christmas time then," he opened his arms up for a hug.

She sank into his embrace, but didn't wait too long before saying, "Phew, you need to shower some time."

"Oh ha-ha. I think that's you that you're getting a whiff of," he said as the two separated.

She turned and started to walk towards the Uber. "Alright I gotta get going. See ya, B."

"Bye, Jess."

3 weeks later

Mia and Jess made their way over to their usual table in the cafeteria. Nathan was already there waiting for them. Their other friend, Cody, joined them just moments later. "Hey bitches, you're favorite gay guy is here," was how he'd decided to greet the other three.

He carried on as he set his plate down and slid into his seat, "So how have you two been, everything okay in paradise? Or do I need to cut off Nathan's dick?"

Mia jumped into the conversation as well. "Cody, if anyone gets to cut Nate's dick off, it's me. If he hurts her that's my privilege."

"Ok guys we can stop talking about Nathan's dick now, and besides, we're fine," Jess explained as she scooted closer to Nate. He nonchalantly rested his arm around her shoulders and she nestled into him to get comfortable.
