Doyoung felt a lump in his throat slowly forming. He just wanted to disappear into the ground.

Jaehyun noticed that the taller started shaking and confusedly looked back and forth between the two, who were silently staring at each other.

What is going on?

Suddenly, the they guy in front of them took a slow step forward, still staring at Doyoung.

Taking a step back, the latter flinched. It was obvious how scared he was of the giant standing in front of them.

Jaehyun already didn't like him. What in the world did he do to make his bunny so terrified? What ever it is, how dare he do something so horrible to someone as innocent as Doyoung.

"And who might you be? If you haven't noticed, me and my bunny here we're about to leave." Jaehyun said in a low tone.

The giant's death stare now shifted from Doyoung to Jaehyun, a small smile on his face.

"Your bunny?", he chuckled humorlessly, "Piss off, will you? I'm Johnny, his boyfriend."

Oh.

Jaehyun heart sunk. He looked over at the taller, who was now staring holes into the ground, with a questioning look, needing confirmation.

The cute bunny? Dating this giant douche??

Doyoung felt his gaze burning into the side of his head. It made him want to disappear even more.

Once again, he had disappointed everyone.

Jaehyun shouldn't have come. Everyone would've appreciated it.

"I'm sorry..." Doyoung whispered. He felt like absolute shit.

Johnny put on a forced smile, "Let's go, Doyoung. You shouldn't waste you time on this...", he eyed Jaehyun up and down, "...scum."

Doyoung gave the shorter an apologetic glance before tensely making his way over to his boyfriend.

Together they walked out of the school grounds, leaving Jaehyun to watch after them like a heartbroken puppy.

He didn't have much time to sulk, though, because in that moment, someone ruffled his hair.

"Whassuuuuup Jae!", his best friend, Ten, grinned at him, "Guess what."

Jaehyun pretended to think, "Hmm... you hooked up with someone and missed your class again?"

"Hey that only happened twice! I'm not that awful.", Ten dramatically put his hand on his chest, looking offended.

Jaehyun rolled his eyes, "Well yeah. Only that you fucked, like, every second guy at this school."

Looking even more offended, Ten replied, "Stop over exaggerating. I only entertain the hot ones.", he shrugged, "I can't help that I'm a beautiful and confident gay."

Jaehyun sighed. That's true, his best friend basically throws himself at anyone who has good looks and shows even the slightest interest in him.

"What I wanted to tell you though," he spoke up, "you know that guy who's absolutely crazy about you?"

"Taeyong?"

"Yeah, him." Ten nodded, "Today he got into a fight with someone because they said your smile is weird."

Jaehyun sighed, it was nothing new. Taeyong would attack anyone that said anything negative about the dimpled boy, but when it came to actually talking to him, he could never get a word out.

"I feel kind of bad for him. I'm pretty much as straight as one could get." he shook his head as his gay best friend raised and eyebrow at him. He had a feeling that was far from the truth, Jaehyun was just in denial.

"Well, he's a nice guy -and I don't want to hurt him- but maybe next time could you tell him that I'm not really interested?"

"Gotcha.", Ten smiled, "You wanna come over to my house? We can play Mario Kart."

"Can we come too?", out of nowhere, Haechan and Mark joined their conversation. These two are everywhere, aren't they?

"Alright. Then we all bring some snacks and meet at my place at 4!" Ten exclaimed "Whoever comes last has to clean up afterwards!"

Johnny and Doyoung walked in deafening silence.

Not being able to take it any longer, Doyoung decided to break it "He is j-just a f-frie-"

"I told you not to hang around with anyone that isn't me, Doyoung." he growled "It's for your own safety."

"B-but Jaehyun s-seemed n-nice-"

Johnny cut him off again, pulling Doyoung in front of him, and giving him a hard slap across the face.

Doyoung nearly lost his balance, but Johnny harshly yanked him up again.

"I don't care. Either you drop him and listen to what I say, or you drop me and be with that cockroach."

The smaller slowly raised his hand, gently touching his stinging cheek.

Johnny smiled mockingly, "You wouldn't want to lose the only one who ever cared about you, would you?"

Doyoung squeezed his eyes shut, shaking his head slightly, voice barely more than a whisper, afraid of saying the wrong thing.

"N-no..."

"Exactly." he glared and tightened his grip on the younger's shoulder, making him wince in pain.

"Then do what I tell you to do, got it?"

He sighed and let go after getting a cautious nod in reply.

Just when he thought he finally got a friend, Doyoung got punished for it almost instantly.

But Johnny was only looking out for him.
