For someone so thin and fragile, Doyoung sure could run fast. Jaehyun was having a difficult time keeping up.

They ran past trees and rows of houses, not slowing down at all.

The cold wind slapped against Doyoung's wet face, causing him to feel a stinging pain.

But he didn't care.

He needed to get away.

Away from Jaehyun.

After about 5 miles of full speed sprinting, Jaehyun could feel his muscles getting tired.

"Doyoung! Slowdown!" Jaehyun shouted in between heaves of breath "Please!"

Doyoung abruptly turned around. His eyes and cheeks were red from tears, his clothes were red and brown from blood.

"I hate you!"

Jaehyun's heart stopped.

He stood still in his tracks. Did his ears fail him? He can't believe it. That must've been a lie, it has to be.

Jaehyun wouldn't be able to live with himself if it wasn't.

All of his feeling would have gone to waste.

"I hate you! I hate you so fucking much!"

Jaehyun got his answer.

Doyoung didn't feel the same.
Doyoung hated him.

In disbelief, Jaehyun pulled Doyoung into a tight hug. He didn't care if his clothes would end up getting stained too.

Jaehyun's eyes were wide open, darting around, trying to make sense of the older's words.

He didn't want to believe anything the bunny said.

He just wanted to hold Doyoung in his arms.

But Doyoung couldn't let that happen. He pushed Jaehyun away with all his might, making him stumble back a few steps.

"Fuck! Just stay away from me!"

The bunny started running again, but all energy left Jaehyun.

He just stood there, watching the other's retreating back with tears brimming the corners of his eyes.

🌸🌸🌸

Doyoung hid behind a dumpster, crying his heart out. He felt like his life was slowly falling apart into sharp, tiny shards of glass cutting him as soon as he moved.

He hated himself.

He didn't hate Jaehyun.

He loved the younger more than he could ever love himself.

He just didn't want Jaehyun to use him like Johnny did.

So, the only option was to shut him out.

Doyoung stared at his arms, covered in dried blood.

His vision was very blurry, but he could still clearly make out the hundreds of cuts and bruises, inflicted by none other than Doyoung himself.

He deserved it.

He deserved all of it.

Why was he still alive?

Thoughts like these plagued Doyoung for a very long time. He has tried multiple times to free himself from the burdens of this life, but he never had the courage to follow through with it.

Only once. Once he was so so close to ending his life, but that was when Jaehyun found him.

Jaehyun.

Doyoung was trying his best to get that name out of his head, but it would always end up popping up again.

He hated it.

He hated how he let the younger get so close to him in such a short amount of time.

A buzz from his phone pulled him out of his thoughts. It was a text from none other than Jaehyun. He got the bunny's number at the ice cream shop.

Jaehyun

>Are you okay?
>I'm sorry.

Doyoung wanted to reply.

He wanted to admit all his feelings, tell Jaehyun how much he means to the bunny, tell him that he was just lying, tell him that none of this is his fault.

Jaehyun did nothing wrong, but Doyoung couldn't help but feel slightly paranoid. He has made the mistake of trusting someone often enough.

Just as Doyoung thought he was done crying, he felt salty tears well up again.

He just told Jaehyun that he hated him, yet the younger still tried to make sure that Doyoung is safe.

A true prince indeed.

And he'd be his princess.

In their little fairy tale.

No, he can't cry again. He angrily rubbed his wet eyes.

"I'm s-such a cr-crybaby..." he mumbled before standing up.

He has to go home.

The sun was already setting at the horizon.

A heavy feeling appeared in his stomach when he realized how late it was.

Just how long has he been crying there??

He made his way home. Well, he tried to. His legs weren't cooperating as they were tired from all the running done today, slowing him down immensely because he had to stop a few times.

He was scared, no, he was terrified because as soon as he arrived at the front door, he already heard shouting.

The crashing and screams made his blood run cold.

But he went in anyway.
