"NO!!!" I screamed when I opened the door to the house to see my parents bleeding out in the living room. This is nothing I ever thought I would have to experience. I ran over to my mother's side and checked her pulse to see if there was any chance that she could still be breathing. Then I ran over to my father to check his pulse. Of course they couldn't possibly be breathing, their blood mixed in a dark, crimson pool on the living room floor.

With tears filling my eyes, I took off my jacket to see if I could still help my parents come back by some miracle. Realizing it was far too late, I screamed and cried for help, hoping someone could hear me. I cradled both of their heads in my lap.

"I'm so sorry," I wailed. If I could trade my life for both of theirs, I would do it in a heartbeat. I love my parents so much. They didn't deserve to die like this, no one does.

After what felt like hours of crying and screaming for help, sirens sounded in the distance and became louder as cop cars approached the house. Two cops entered the house, since the door was already opened. They didn't even bother taking time to assess the situation before arresting me. Yeah, I said it, they arrested ME. Even when I tried explaining to them that I wouldn't do anything to kill my own parents, but for some reason, they weren't trying to hear that. That did nothing but make me angry, so I elbowed a cop in the gut who tried to put me in cuffs and turned around to punch him in the jaw. I was tackled by the second cop and pinned down with his knee on my back. The first cop got up and continued to place the cuffs on my wrists as I was mirandized by the second cop, pulled up to my feet, and walked out to the police car.

A few minutes later, two ambulances pulled up to the house along with more cop cars and SUVs. I sat in the back of the cop car I was forced into and rested my head on the window with my eyes struggling to stay open.

As the two cops that arrested me got in the car and drove off, I looked out the window to see the paramedics carrying my parents' bodies out of the house. I closed my eyes, hoping this was all just a nightmare.

The cops still did not bother to ask me any type of questions. I was immediately thrown in a cell with some other girl, who seemed a little too excited to be in a jail cell. She smiled and waved at me. I rolled my eyes and went to my cot, still hoping this whole thing wasn't real.

"Hi!" the girl said when she approached me, "I'm Eleanor, what's your name?"

I rolled my eyes, laid down in my cot, and just stared at the ceiling. Eleanor obviously didn't get the message because she sat down right at the head of the cot.

"How did you get here? I was sentenced to three years in here for extortion."

I groaned and rolled over to face her, "Honestly, I don't really care about why you're here. I had a fucked up day, and don't feel like talking. I just want to go to sleep, 'kay?" I rolled over to look back at the ceiling and close my eyes.

"Okay," She said getting up, "Maybe we can talk later. I'd still like to know why you're here. I mean, it's not like you killed anyone or anything."

I got up out of my cot and gave her a death glare, "What the hell did you say?"

"I'm just saying, you know, it's not like they put you in here for murder or anythi-"

Before Eleanor finished her sentence, I charged towards her and punched her in the jaw. I landed two more jabs to her face before she fell. The guards outside quickly unlocked the cell and seized me before I could kick her in the stomach. I struggled to fight the guards off of me as they picked me up by both my hands and feet and carried me away to solitary confinement.

Honestly I didn't mind being in the small space. At least I didn't have to worry about talking to anybody for some time, it gave me some time to think. I honestly don't understand why I attacked Eleanor, she was right. I didn't murder my parents. What makes me upset is the fact that I don't know who killed them, and why the cops didn't even bother asking me what the fuck happened. I don't know who would kill their own parents besides someone who is either trying to protect themselves or is just crazy. My parents were the most loving and caring people on the planet, I don't understand why anyone would want to kill them. I don't even know anyone who may have had even the slightest issue with either of them.

After a long and restless night, another guard came in to get me. He didn't say anything, he just grabbed me by my arm and threw me back in the same cell with Eleanor. I didn't bother to look at her, not to be rude or anything, I just didn't think she wanted to talk to me, especially after I attacked her. I understand she was trying to be nice, but honestly I wasn't in the perfect headspace to talk to anyone last night. I mean, I'm still not in the perfect headspace, but it is day two, and I'm still stuck in this place instead of at home with my parents.

Wiping the tears in my eyes, I went back to my cot and faced the wall. I grabbed my pillow to muffle my cries. I honestly hate crying in front of people, it's the most embarrassing feeling. It makes me feel weak, like I don't know how to handle my own problems or something.

Breathing in and out to avoid making any kind of noise, I heard Eleanor's footsteps as she approached me and placed a hand on my shoulder. I shrugged to move her hand away and held the pillow tighter. Eleanor did not move away, instead she started speaking again.

"If I offended you in any way from what I said yesterday, I am very sorry," She said, her voice a little raspy.

I wiped my tears on the pillow and turned to face her, "Honestly you didn't offend me. I was just very angry. I didn't mean to attack you at all, and for that I am truly sorry."

She slightly nodded and went to her side of the cell. I sat up and spoke again, "Murder."

Eleanor turned around with a confused look on her face, "I'm sorry?" she asked.

"That's why I'm here," I continued, "I'm here because of murder."

Eleanor's eyes grew big and she nodded again.

"I didn't do it, don't worry. I came home and my parents were already dead. Someone stabbed them both to death and the cops think I did it. I don't know how long I'm going to be here and I don't know if I'll ever get out."

"Well that doesn't make any sense," Eleanor said with a twisted look on her face. "So they didn't set a court date or anything?"

I shook my head no.

"They just threw you in here and didn't ask any questions about what happened?"

"Pretty much," I said with a shrug, "It's like they don't really have a process or anything. I don't even know if I'm set for bail or anything."

Eleanor shrugged this time, "I think it depends on the type of murder. I'm not exactly sure."

I sighed heavily, "Well, I guess I'll just have to deal with this until I see some type of silver lining in this situation."

She nodded, "Well, I see one," she said.

"Really?" I asked, "What is that? I mean I lost my parents and spent my first night in jail in solitary."

Eleanor sat on her cot, "As crazy as this may sound, let's just say you made a new friend on your second day here."

I laughed and layed down, still drained from last night.

"Maybe when you wake up, we can go to the cafeteria and play Egyptian Ratscrew," Eleanor suggested.

I sat back up, "Egyptian what?"

She laughed, "Egyptian Ratscrew, it's a card game. I'll tell you more about it when you wake up. Right now, get some rest."

I chuckled lightly before shutting my eyes to take a nap.

A/N: Salut mes amis. Hey. Hello. What's up? How goes it? Wassgood? Yeaaaah I know this chapter is a little off and boring at the same time. I don't know how often I'm going to update on this book, but I hope I will be able to finish it, because I can actually see an end to this story unlike my others (I deleted those because they weren't making sense). Don't forget to comment and vote, and if you have any questions, ASK!!! The only time a question is dumb, is if it's not asked. Okay have a good one. Bye.
