Peggy groaned as she slammed her hand down on her alarm, desperate to stop the noise. In the process, she rolled over, fell off her bed, and got tangled in her blanket. She pulled out her phone and checked the date.

"Crap, first day already?" Peggy mumbled to herself as she got up.

The end of eighth grade had not seemed to long ago, now here she was, starting freshman year with Eliza and all her friends. Angelica was going to be a sophomore. Peggy didn't really look forward to all the attention she was going to get from her teachers, she had skipped a grade due to her advanced intelligence.

Sighing, Peggy got up from her bed and browsed through her closet for an appropriate outfit to wear. She pulled out a dress Eliza had bought for her during the summer. She remembered Eliza begging she wear it, insisting she looked beautiful. Peggy placed the dress back in the closet. It was a beautiful dress, but not for her, being very self-conscious of her physical appearance. She eventually decided on a pair of jeans, yellow sneakers, and a yellow top. As she undressed, she stared far too long at herself in the mirror. She hated herself. Every curve and roll on her body, she hated. She hated how her thighs rubbed together when she walked, unlike her sisters. Everything on her body she hated. She was interrupted with her self-hate session when Angelica yelled at her door, saying to hurry up.

"Coming!" Peggy said, now in a rush to get dressed and dash downstairs.

"Finally!" Eliza said, rolling her eyes at her sister. "We didn't want to interrupt Sleeping Beauty in there."

"So, you guys excited for high school?" Angelica asked, handing Peggy a piece of toast.

"Yeah!" Eliza said, sounding like a hyper-active toddler. "I can't wait to see see everyone again!"

"I'll bet you're only excited to see Alexander again," Peggy teased Eliza. "Or should I say, "Mr-I-still-write-people-letters-in-the-twenty-first-century."

Eliza turned a scarlet red, but confidently replied to Peggy, "Well I'll bet you're only excited to see Laf!" Eliza smirked at her sibling.

Peggy gave a little smirk and slumped in her chair. She had had a crush on Lafayette since they were toddlers. She never told him because she believed she was not good enough for him. Angelica just rolled her eyes.

"If you guys stop acting like children, I believe we have school to attend to." She said, turning the handle on the front door. "Let's get going or we won't have time to meet up with everyone else."

All three girls said their goodbyes to their parents and headed to the bus stop. Peggy shivered at the morning cold as they waited for the bus to arrive. Suddenly, there was a tall shadow over me. A shadow with a curly ponytail.

"Bonjour mon amis! School is upon us and we shall strive to work for what we aspire to be!" Lafayette said with a smile.

"Why the fuck do you sound so cheery, it's freakin' 6:30 in the morning!" John said, arriving next to Lafayette.

"You should see him when we wake up, it's like he's Snow White or something," Alexander groggily said.

After a bit of talking and catching up on what everyone did in the summer, the bus arrived and everyone got on. Peggy was sitting next to Lafayette when he decided to strike up a conversation with her. He was just rambling on how excited he was for high school and Peggy just nodded occasionally but she was really thinking, Fuck Fuck Fuck. He's so cute I am going to die. Come on Peggy! Talk about something! Don't just sit there like an idiot! Say something! Say anything!

"I like your ponytail."

Shit that wasn't suppose to happen. I'm screwed he's gonna think I'm weird.

"Thank you mon ami," Lafayette said with a grin as he adjusted it. "Your hair is quite nice too."

Finally, Peggy was able to talk about something normal.

"Are you going to join any clubs or sports or anything? I hear they have a good variety."

"Maybe, the lacrosse team sounds intriguing to me. And you? Any activities you'd like to do?"

"Well, I was thinking about trying out for the cheerleading team, but I don't think I'd make it." Peggy's mind flashed back from when she was in 6th grade, trying out to be a cheerleader. She had done some flips, cartwheels, and kicks. She was actually very good at gymnastics. Any team would be lucky to have her. But of course, the eighth graders judging her didn't see that. They just looked at her outer self. They wouldn't pick her, and they didn't. The cheer squad was made of arrogant girls that looked like sticks. They told her to come back when she lost some weight. Peggy had come home crying that day.

"Nonsense! You are wonderful at the flips and spins. They shall be grateful to have you!" Lafayette replied back.

Peggy blushed at Lafayette's comment. Soon, the bus came to a stop and they all got off.

"See you at lunch Peggy!" Lafayette smiled at her.

"Bye!" Peggy smiled back.

She took a deep breath before she entered to school. High school, here comes Peggy.

A/N

Okay so I know it was like super duper bad and cheesy and corny and stuff but yeah. I usually do one-shots and this is my first attempt at an actual story. Next update should be soon! Also, next chapter will have POV's!
