It's been a week since I spoke on the phone with Brett and that's about all the conversation we've had other than a few 'hope you're getting excited!' And 'making all the final reservations!' texts here and there. I've had most of the clothes come in that I ordered but this weekend is dedicated to shopping and complete prepping.
"Laura, you almost ready?" I yell down the hall. I hear some giggling from both her and Jeff as she bursts out and almost skips to my room.
"Yeah sorry, I was just touching up my hair." Laura grins from ear to ear with a big innocent smile.
"Uh, nice try, but your shirt is inside out." Cayla interjects, bursting out laughing. I make a fake gagging noise and Laura's face turns a bright shade of crimson.
"You caught me... I was getting that pipe." She says with a huge belly laugh. Cayla and I both interject with very authentic disgusted noises. TMI out of the way, we grab our cards and head out to blow our savings.

Hours of shopping and my third tanning session knocked out, we arrived back at the apartment. I throw all my shopping bags on the floor of my room. We all start trashing my room trying to pick out what I'm taking. Laura was tossing me some 'more revealing' clothes, that I kept trying to put back.
"Dude, live a little. Wear something you'll feel sexy in! Something you can wear and be confident and have fun in! What are you gonna wear? Sweats?" Laura eventually got frustrated with me.
"It's not that I don't want to look good, I just don't want them to think I'm slutty or anything. I've been a big fan of their stuff for a while now. It would break my heart if they thought I was like fangirling and trying to sleep with someone." I try getting to get my point across- kind of successfully.
"Okay okay I get that but sometimes a little cleavage can be classy." Laura smirks and Cayla gives a slight agreement. I give in.
"Nothing too tight." I smile and start going through bathing suits.

Jeff came home to find us a little bit tipsy. We opened a bottle of wine and started making dinner. None of us were good cooks but we had music going and we were having a good ass time.
"I'm glad we're all on the same page..." Jeff smiles and pulls out a bottle of vodka and cranberry juice.
"Vodka Cranberry, LETS GO!" I yell and get glasses out. Cayla pulls out her phone and starts taking funny and stupid videos of us- Laura acting like a fancy chef, herself drunkenly singing along to the music, and me throwing back my drink. We finish up our stir fry (or our best attempt) and settle down to watch a movie.
"Can you guys retweet me? I posted our video and it's pretty funny." Cayla stumbled through her words but I understood and opened Twitter. I shared her video and set my phone aside. My screen was blurry and I was ready to chill for the night. Jeff was scrolling through Netflix but before he could pick a movie I was out.
I woke up at the credits and everyone else was sprawled out in the living room asleep. I groggily pick up my phone to check the time. It's 3 am and I have about 500 notifications. I unlock my phone and it damn near freezes when I try to open twitter. Why in the hell are all these people following me? I scroll through my alerts and I'm a little starstruck. James quote tweeted Cayla's video- 'We're going to get along just fine :-)'. I like the tweet with a huge smile and head into my room to go to bed. I crawl in bed feeling all giddy like a little kid. Holy shit. I am so excited.
