Atali and I headed to Spanish class after lunch. Man, the girl can rap in Spanish without tripping on her tongue. Now that's talent. She volunteered to help me whenever I needed improvement on my spanish skills to which I gratefully accepted. Just then, the head of the student council asked for Atali to be excused. Something about an urgent meeting for a school party and since Atali was part of the creative team, or at least that's what I remember Heather telling me, she was excused from class. She told me she's see me in homeroom then left.

I managed to survive Spanish class on my own and when the bell rang, I was the first one out the room. I checked my list of subjects and found out that I had Chemistry next. And again, I was the first one in the lab again. I was getting my chemistry book out when two guys entered the room. I didn't pay them much attention but when one of them gasped, I lifted my gaze to the pair seated at the table beside mine and my eyes couldn't believe it.

Beside me sat the Haddock twins' cousin, Scott "Snotlout" Jorgenson and Snotlout's best friend, Finnick "Fishlegs" Ingerman. Don't even get me started how their nicknames came to be.

"Astrid Hofferson?! Is that really you?!" Snotlout exclaimed excitedly.

I playfully smirked at them. "No, it's the ghost of Christmas past. Yes, you muttonheads!"

The two guys rushed forward and crushed me in a back-breaking hug. "Missed..you..too.. can't.. BREATHE!"

Grins were plastered on their faces. "Man, how long has it been since we last saw each other?" Fishlegs said.

"Roughly seven years I think."

Just then, another figure entered the room. Oh boy. "What's up, my people?" Hiccup said as he entered the room and high-fived the guys, completely ignoring me.

I rolled my eyes and sat back down as the three cousins began catching up with each other. I was on my phone updating Heather on my whereabouts when I heard Snotlout say,

"Hey! Did you know Astrid's back?" Hiccup gave me a sideways glance then said, "Yeah, she was in my first and second period. You know, classes for nerds."

He then turned his back on me again and continued talking to the guys like I wasn't in the room. I sent him a glare. I was really fuming. How could he just ignore me like that? It's like we weren't best friends in the past. The bell rang, signal the start of class and more people began to file in. Hiccup was too busy chatting with Fishlegs and Snotlout that he didn't notice that all the seats were taken but the one beside me. Could this day get any worse?

He sauntered over to the seat beside me as the teacher entered. He was this lanky, Einstein-looking teacher with a white beard and a mean look like he's ready to eat kids who wouldn't get the experiment right.

"Alright, brats. I am Mr. Dew. Let's start the day by pairing you up for the whole school year."

The entire class buzzed, already nudging the friends they chose as partners then Mr. Dew spoke again, "Pipe down! I've already chosen your partners from the class list."

Their was a chorus of "awws" and one guy coughed "buzz kill." Mr. Dew rolled his eyes and pulled out a piece of paper.

"Oh, quit whining." He then started to call out some names.

Snotlout and Fishlegs were paired together. Typical. Those two were always paired together since we were in pre-school. More names were called out and I was getting bored. I tapped my pen lightly on my book while Hiccup toyed with the keys of his car. I began doodling on the back part of my notebook when Mr. Dew called out,

"Henry Haddock and Astrid Hofferson!"

My eyes widened, my pen fell out of my hands and onto the floor. "What?!" I whisper-yelled. I glanced over at Hiccup, whose eyes were also wide and had stopped jiggling his keys. He must've felt that I was looking at him because he turned his head to face me and smirked at me once he got over his shock.

"Huh. Well would you look at that. I think we're destined, nerd." I groaned internally. "Shut up, Haddock." He chuckled then we both faced front as the lesson started.

The day went by quite well after chemistry. I had Track and Field with Heather and Ruffnut and found out that Hiccup was the school's Track and Field star. No wonder his ego was so, well, I don't even know who to begin to describe it. Ugh. After homeroom, the girls gave me a quick tour of the school and showed me to my locker. After that, Mala and Atali left because they were supposed to pick up their mom from the airport. Heather and I then headed out the door after looking at some bulletin boards and walked towards the parking lot.

There was a loud beep beside us as we walked. It came from the Jeep that stole my spot earlier. The driver rolled down the window yelled, "Hey sis!" My jaw dropped.

I've should've known. Heather sent her twin brother a smile but before she could reply, I cut her off.

"YOU!" I shrieked.

Hiccup raised an eyebrow at me, confused. "What about me?"

"You stole my parking spot this morning!"

And that annoying smirk of his returns. "Does it have your name on it?" He asked smugly.

I glared at him. "No but-"

"Then it's not your spot. You should park that Honda a little faster next time."

That's it. I surged forward, eager to choke the living daylights out of him. I would've succeeded if Heather hadn't intervened.

"Woah! Uh, Hiccup, you better tell me what it was you wanted to tell me earlier. I don't think I can hold her off much longer."

Hiccup fixed his side mirror then said, "Oh, right. Don't forget to buy Toothless some dog food later, okay? I would do it but dad's making go to Bake the Cake to get mom's birthday cake ordered for Sunday."

Heather nodded. "Sure. Text me the brand of the dog food, yeah?"

Hiccup took out his phone as he started moving the car. "Gotcha. You're the best! See ya at home." He said to Heather then smirked at my way. "Bye, nerd."

Before I could retort with a comeback, he pulled his window up and drove off. Heather seemed to noticed that I've calmed down a bit and let me go.

"Dude, chill." She said, chuckling.

I scowled at her. "I don't know how I'll be able to do that when your twin brother's around."

She laughed then hooked her arm around mine. "You know what, why don't we head over to your place and just hang out? We haven't done that for seven years!"

I perked up. "You know what, let's do that." I said as we walked toward our cars.

Finally! I missed girl time with the Haddock sister.
