Niall is on tour and you're with him.
Niall's p.o.v.
Me and Y/N are now together for almost 3 years and I already thought about this a lot and I think I want to take the next step in our relationship.
*Niall is in Ireland with y/n for his tour*
Me and y/n are now in Ireland, tomorrow is my show in Dublin so me and y/n thought it would be fun if we would visit my parents.
"Y/n are you almost done with your hair because we have to go" I yelled from downstairs.
"yes I'm almost done Ni". Yelled she back.
When y/n was done she kissed my cheek and grabbed my hand, we both went to the car and drove to mullingar, when we were there I already saw my mom standing outside with Theo in her arms. Me and y/n both hugged my mom and Theo of course, we all went inside and there were standing my father and Greg and Denise, we all said hello to each other and we went all to the couch and sat down and we talked a bit about my tour and how y/n is.
"Hey y/n do you want to go shopping with me and Maura" Denise said.
"Yes of course sounds great", y/n said.
Now is my chance I thought
"Uhm dad I want to tell you something", I said nervously after they left. "Okay", he said slightly frowning.
"I want to propose to y/n", I said. First I didn't hear him response but then heard him cry out of happiness, he called Greg out of the kitchen and told him the good news. When everyone was calmed down Greg asked me if I already had made any plans for the proposing.
"No I don't that's why I wanted to discuss this with you", I actually don't really know how I'm going to this", I said. "Don't worry Niall everything is going to be alright", dad said. "maybe I have an idea, tomorrow is your show in Dublin right?" Greg said,
I quickly nodded. "Okay maybe you can call her on stage during her favourite song", he said.
"That's a really good idea, I really don't know what I'll do without you brother. I still have to get a ring because the show is tomorrow already".
"Do you want us to come with you", my dad asked. "No dad I think I'm going to do this alone, but thanks for asking, I'll send a picture of the ring".
When y/n, Denise and my mom came back, me and y/n went back home. Y/n was exhausted so I told her that she could already go to bed. Dhe gave me a quick peck on the lips and went to bed. That gave me time to buy a ring.
I walked into the jewellery shop and already saw a couple of rings I would like to see.
"Good afternoon sir, can I help you?" The lady behind the counter asked.
"Yes actually, I'm looking for a ring. I'm proposing to my girlfriend."
"That's so nice to hear, follow me please." She said and walked to the rings section.
After a hour I finally found the perfect ring. It was a beautiful ring with a big diamond and small diamonds on the side.
When I came home, I went upstairs and I saw y/n laying there sleeping. I watched her laying there, so precious. How did I get so lucky.
I changed into my pyjama and laid beside her. I promised my dad to send a picture of the ring I got her so I quickly made a picture and texted it to my dad.
I rested my head on y/n shoulder and I already could feel my eyes getting heavy.
*next morning*
I felt eyes staring at me, so I opened my eyes and was met with y/n eyes. I really cant wait to wake up next to her every morning the rest of my life.
"good morning honey, ready for your concert?" She asked.
"I can't, it's always so great to perform in Dublin." I told her, I immediately got really nervous thinking about the concert tonight. "Yeah I can imagine. Are you okay, you suddenly seem so nervous?" She asked curiously.
"No, nothing is wrong I'm just nervous because mom, dad, Greg, Denise and a couple of friends are coming to the show and it's my hometown so I can't screw it up", I told her.
"Don't worry Niall, there's nothing to worry about. Everyone is so proud of you, including me", she said while giving me a kiss and a hug.
*during the show*
I just got off stage after siging the first four songs. Now I'm backstage to do a quick clothing change. I'm so nervous, I'm realizing that when I go back on stage in 5 minutes, I have to do it. I'm going to propose to y/n.
My manager announces that I still have a minute left, so I grab the box with the ring and put it in my pocket.
I walk onto the stage and grab my guitar.
"The next song is really special to me, cause I wrote it for my girlfriend y/n. So y/n would you like to come on stage so I can sing it for you, love?"
One of the bodyguards helped her on stage and she walked over to me and gave me a quick hug.
"What is going on Niall?" She whispered in my ear.
"Surprise, just sit down on the chair okay love" I told her.
*song starts playing*

When the song ended, I heard the crowd go crazy. I turned my head to y/n and saw she had tears in her eyes.
I walked over to her and grabbed her hand. I quickly looked backstage where my parents, Greg, Denise and my friends were standing they gave me thumbs up, that gave me the courage to go further. I still had y/n hands in my hands, I closed my eyes and started my speech,
"Y/n, I think that the song said a lot already but I really want you to know how much I love you, from the first day I saw you I just knew that you was the one for me, I want to spend every day with you, I want to start a family with you and I want to grow old with you."
"I want to be with you forever
y/n. I can't imagine a life without you".
I got the box out of my pocket and got down on my knees and asked,
"y/n, will you marry me?"
When I opened my eyes, I could see y/n now crying, I hugged while I was waiting for her to answer. I closed my eyes, afraid of what she's going to answer. Why isn't she answering, the crowd is all cheering 'Yes'. It felt like an hour, while it probably just was 2 minutes.
I almost wanted to stand up again but then I heard y/n say yes, she jumped in my arms and hugged me and kept saying 'I love you' in my ear.
I grabbed y/n her hand and slipped the ring on her finger.
"Holy, I'm engaged" I screamed out of excited.
This day couldn't get any better, the crowd was amazing, my family and friends were here, I'm in my home country and most importantly the fact that I got engaged.
