You're his ex girlfriend
It's been 2 months since Niall and you broke up, he didn't even explain why he wanted to break up. One day, when I came home from work, he stood there in our livingroom with all his stuff in suitcases, he said that we could not be together anymore and because and you lived together that I could keep our apartment.
These past 2 months were so confusing and painful. It was so damn painful to still see him in news articles or hear him on the radio.
Today it was the birthday of your best friend, so you two decided to have a sleepover at my apartment.
"Okay I brought 3 movies to watch, which one shall we watch first? I brought 'mean girls', 'the Notebook' and of course 'letters to Juliet'." y/bff/n said.
"Oeh, shall we watch 'letters to Juliet' first, it's been ages since I last seen that movie. If you put the movie on, then I will make some popcorn."
I walked to the kitchen, grabbed the box with the popcorn and put it in the microwave. I also grabbed 2 glasses of water. While I walked over to the sink to fill over glasses, I heard my phone blow up, because of all the instagram notifications. I put down the glass I was about to fill and opened my phone. I saw that I was tagged in so many posts of fan accounts with pictures of Niall and Hailee Steinfeld. I couldn't believe my eyes, he moved on after just 2 months. It hurted so much to see him holding hands with someone else, instead of mine.
All of the emotions that I've been holding back for 2 months came out. All I could do was cry. Why did Niall always hurt me so much, why me.
I guess my best friend heard my sobs, because she came running to the kitchen to see what happened. Y/bff/n came in the kitchen, when she saw my face she immediately hugged me, I really don't know what I what I woul do without her by my side.
"Omg y/n, are you okay? what happened?" Y/bff/n asked.
I handed my phone so she could see the pictures. She took my phone and I heard her sighed loudly out of frustration.
"That basterd! If I ever see him again, I'm going to make him regret that he ever hurt you like this."
"Y/n why are you crying over this, he isn't worth your time and your tears." She reassured me and gave me a hug.
"Thank you y/bff/n, I'm so lucky to have you in my life. I know Niall isn't worth my tears, but it's just still very painful to see you know." I said when I let go of her.
"I'm not saying this to let you feel better, but if you look closely to the pictures you can tell that this is fake. Look how unhappy Niall looks, they act so cold towards each other."
I took my phone out of her hand and looked at the pictures. It hurted so much to look at them again, but I have to say that she was right. They did act cold towards each other and Niall looked so sad.
"I mean, you're not wrong." I said in agreement.
"There is probably a good explanation for this. They could be forced by their managements for some publicity." She said.
"Also, you always said that Niall's a really private person. He was very private with your relationship too, so why would he kiss her in a parking lot while he knows that there are paps around them. I mean you can see that he definitely sees the paps".
This girl is too smart
"I'd never thought about that to be honest, but it makes sense yeah. Niall and I were always very careful in public and we did hide it pretty well. It's nothing for Niall to just show up with her and get really touchy with someone in public." I said.
