Chapter 5

~Time Skip 6 Years Later~

(Lucy's POV)

Lune and Luna are turning 6 years old today and I wanted to do something special for them, Maddy had helped me with the kids ever since they were born and I'm really grateful for her, I still work at the restaurant as a waitress and I've become quiet popular well for my body and my long blonde hair. Maddy and I have rented the restaurant for the twins birthday and decorated it with yellows, we bought two custom cakes one with Lunes pictures and books and the other of Luna's picture and black belts, Lune is similar to me because he has a love of books and blonde hair but Luna is more off her father because she has magenta colored hair and she loves to take martial art classes, she has the fighting spirit like her father that she never met. I have taught both celestial magic and made them take some other classes too. We finished decorating and all the guests have arrived, I go pick them out of school and bring them to the restaurant "Happy Birthday!" Everyone shouts when we walk in "This is for us?" Asks Luna and I nod "Wow! Thanks mom" they both say in unison. We cut the cake, play party games and eat till it's 9 o'clock "Looks like the party's over" Maddy comes behind me "Yeah they had fun and that's all that matters" I just smile as I watch the guests leaving "Mom! Can we open our presents now?" Lune and Luna run up to me "Hmm how about we do it at home? So it's super special" "okay" they say and run off to say goodbye to a couple of friends 'i raised them well didn't i?' I think to myself 'even without a father they are still happy' i smile a little because I haven't seen FairyTail for quiet a few years and i deeply miss them 'I wonder how they are all doing?' I have been feeling guilty for lying about my death almost 7 years ago and I still haven't recovered 'will I ever go back?' That's the question that haunts me ever since I left and I really didn't know the answer "is something on your mind dear?" Maddy's mother asks me as she cleans the tables "you miss your friends don't you?" "I do..." "Well dear don't you worry, someday you'll get to see them" "I will?" "You promised didn't you? And you never broke your promises" I nod and start packing up. I take Lune and Luna and a bunch load of presents back home "Did you enjoy your birthday?" "Yes and you're a really good mom" Lune says "the best mom in the world!" Luna jumps I giggle and set the presents down "now you can open your presents" they rip apart the wrapping and open every box and finally they open mine, Lune gets a plush red dragon and Luna gets a plush blonde princess "O! A dragon thanks!" "I can finally play a fairy tale" I chuckle as they both play together with their new toys "Mom? Do dragons really exist?" Lune asks "of course not they are imaginary!" Luna says "Well Lune, dragon slayers exist so dragons exists too, but don't worry they won't hurt you" "Mom did you ever see a dragon slayer" I look down as I remember Natsu Wendy and Gajeel "yeah" "Cool! What is their powers" "Well one of them was a fire dragon slayer and one of them was a sky dragon slayer and the other one was an iron dragon slayer" I says as I playfully tickle him "Wow so I'll make this a fire dragon" Lune says as he pretends that the plush shoots fire "Mommy where is the prince?" "Huh?" "The prince for the princess so they can happily live forever after?" "You don't need a prince to live happily forever after, besides the Princess can fall in love with the dragon, because it's a fairy tale anything could happen" I smile and she yawns "okay time for bed" I tuck them in and they fall asleep with their new plush and I smile and go to bed.

(Erza's POV)

It had been 7 years since Lucy's death and Natsu is still a mystery he is kind of normal but something is wrong with him but I don't blame him he and Lucy were really close and I think they were dating back then too. I think back to when levy and Wendy told us the news as I walked to Natsu's apartment "is something bothering you?" Gray walks next to me "uh no, I just wanted to talk to Natsu" "he's in his apartment, he never left all week" "I know that's why I'm going to talk to him" and I knock on Natsu's door, I open it to find the room messy and dark "Natsu?" I hear faint sniffles coming from the bed room and I walk in to see Natsu on the edge of Lucy's bed crying "Natsu....." I whisper and kneel next to him "I can't believe it, I keep denying it" he sobbed "I know how hard it is Natsu but be stronge for Lucy's sake!" "But....I didn't protect her as I promised her..." "Natsu she is now with her parents watching over you, no need to be depressed it's not what she would want you to be" "you're right...Erza....." "C'mon would an S-class job cheer you up?" "I would rather be alone for a while, sorry" "it's okay, take your time and remember what I said to you" I smile and leave to the last floor "Gray?" "Hm Erza?" "I have a job but Natsu's not going" "we should leave him alone" "yeah are you coming?" "Yeah sure, what is the quest?" And we go off to the magnolia train.
