I can hardly contain my happiness, and it takes everything in me not to jump for joy and scream. She's pregnant. I'm going to be a great auntie. "Oh LouLou, I'm so happy for you" I whisper, feeling tears drip down my face as I place my hands on her stomach. "You are going to be an amazing mother" I continue and start wiping the tears from my cheeks. Meeting her gaze, I'm once more met with the award winning smile and her gleefull expression.

"It'll be our little secret, right?" she asks. Immediately I nod, wanting to assure her as best I can. "I don't think we should keep them waiting any longer, get on with the cocoa. We can celebrate more later" Lou continues more firmly, yet her smile never leaves her face.

"Here you go!" I chirp, still feeling the happiness from before. Lou isn't far behind with two more mugs in hand. Walking over to Marcy, I hand him the cup cautiously as his face is still grim. Never have I seen him so angry with me, ever. He takes the hot mug from me and takes a small sip. He's a sucker for hot cocoa. I notice him forcing down a smile as the drink hits his tongue.

Turning around, I walk over to Grim, but change direction once I see a mug already in his hands. He eyes me suspiciously, but I choose to ignore it. "So, why did you guys take so long?" Grim asks. My gaze meets Lou, only to see her slightly alarmed. He doesn't know. "Oh, we couldn't find the chocolate" I answer nonchalantly, brushing of any suspicion. He grunts in response as I move to sit down.

"Did you come up with any ideas as to what we need to do?" Lou asks as she settles down beside my nephew, soon-to-be father. Ric puts down his mug with a clink, preparing to speak. "The hope of conversing with the young witch should be looked away from and instead we should do some research in the forbidden books" As he finishes his sentence, I gasp out loud. "You can't be serious" I state.

Marcel moves closer to me, trying to comfort me, but I move away instantly as realisation hits me. "This is absurd, it's against every law!" I continue and throw my hands up in the air.  Ric raises a finger, as if trying to silence a toddler. "I know but considering recent events and the lack of anyone to enforce the law, this is what we need to do" he explains calmly, even though I hear the bitterness at his statement.

I narrow my eyes in hesitation and cross my arms defensively. "I know how you are about those things, but please, we need to do this" Luci cuts in, predictably agreeing with her Azatelia. "We don't need to do anything, it isn't worth disrespecting every law and tradition we grew up with" I try to reason with them. I feel my pulse start to rise as I get more antagonized with the situation.

A warm hand places itself on top of mine suddenly, and my attention is immediately pulled towards it. I glance quickly at Lou, before turning my gaze towards Marcel. Clenching my jaw, I pull away my hand from his and scoot away from him. "We'll do it, so this whole thing can be done with" I agree bitterly and avert my gaze once again.

Looking over at Lou, I see her looking confused between the two of us, as well as Grim raising an eyebrow. My eyes wander more before they fall to Marcy, looking cheerful. I copy Grim's movement and watch as his smile grows wider. Sighing, I get up from the couch and place the mug on our coffee table, before walking out and signalling for them to follow.

Clinks from the mugs behind me rings in my ears as I feel a headache coming on. Just what I need to make this day even better. "I'll call Greg and have him bring the books out of storage" Ric says and less than a minute later I hear him speaking quickly in Spanish. Nodding, I continue down the hall, heading once again to the library.
