I was absolutely buzzing for the rest of the day. I felt like I was walking with my head in the clouds; I was happy– and no one could stop me from smiling like an idiot.
"Mackenzie." My workmate Ruby says, "Stop humming. Take a break, go get some food or something!"
I close my mouth and she laughs at me. I join in. "Okay okay." I smile. "I'll see you in ten."
"Good riddance." She grins back at me. I thump her on the head with my bag as I head out of our shared office and into the tea room. I busy myself making a cup of coffee and some toast, and while I wait I pull out my phone to see a text from Johnny waiting for me, and millions more from my friends. Deciding to open Johnny's last, I scroll through the texts from friends.
