Namjoon's POV

It had been seven years since I left America, seven years since my mom and I left Miso here to basically fend for herself. I felt bad that we never turned back to visit, not even once.

I would have rather she had taken Miso to Korea instead of me. But nevertheless, she took me and left Miso here in America. We saw her a few times while she went to middle school but she stopped coming to visit after a while.

I was busy getting into college and finding a job but I still tried to make time to talk to her. She was my little sister after all.

*Flashback*

"Hey mom, I never asked why you decided to take me instead of Miso back to Korea,"  I asked. We were setting the table for dinner and I suddenly felt like I needed to ask.

"Do you really want to know?" She said. "I would have taken Miso if he hadn't wanted to have someone with him for a longer time."

"You still could have taken her with you anyways," I said.  "Appa would have cared less if either of us stayed with him."

"It's complicated," She said. "I will try to make it up to her though."

*End of Flashback*

Mom and I had put together money to buy plane tickets for us to come visit her. As well as buying Miso a ticket to come back to Korea with us for the summer.

Mom had said that she talked to Dad about it  beforehand and apparently he agreed. I sat in the taxi staring out the window. I reunited with a few friends when I returned to Korea. I graduated with Hoseok, then went to college with him as well. Then we graduated college together and now all of us boys live together. All seven of us.

I was thinking about Korea when my phone rang. It was a call from Jin.

"Hello?"

"Namjoon! How is it there? Back in America?" Jin sounded tired.

"America is good, hyung. Are things okay back home?" I was worried that he had called because something happened.

"Everything's fine Namjoon, Taehyung just wanted to say 'Hello' before we all went to sleep," I waited for Taehyung's voice.

"Hyung! Hi! How does it feel to be back?"

"It feels pretty nice," I said.

"Hyung hyung hyung, you need to text and call us when you see Miso okay? Tell her I said 'Hi'," He said. I laughed.

"Can't you just text her?" I asked.

"Yeah but that's not as fun,"

"Okay, Taehyung, you need to sleep. I'll video call everyone tomorrow, okay?"

"Okay, you have to remember." I hung up. Taehyung was especially close to me, he was clingy and I didn't mind that.

He liked clinging to me cause I just did nothing about it. He was an energetic kid and I didn't mind his high energy sometimes. I stared out the window and saw the now unfamiliar landscape.

Newly built neighborhoods, brand new parks and stores that weren't there before. The streets that used to be familiar were now very strange to me.

"Wow, this place has changed quite a lot," My mom said. "I can't wait to see how grown up Miso is now."

"She's probably really tall now," I said. "The last time we saw her was when she turned 16."

When we arrived, I paid the driver and stepped out. The house looked worn out but still well kept.

I didn't know how to react to my dad after seven years. Miso never said anything bad about him, but I knew that he wasn't that great at helping her out, whether it be financially or just in general.

"Hang on!!" I voice yelled from inside the house. The door opened and I saw my father. He was no longer young and fresh like he used to be, he had wrinkles around his face, his beard unshaved, his hair growing out and unkempt. "Ah, I forgot you were coming." He said.

"It's been a long time hasn't it Hyun-Sik?"  Mom sounded cold, but she still had a smile on her face, it was forced and even Dad knew it.

"Yes it has," He looked at both of us up and down. "Who is this?" He asked pointing at me. I was shocked he didn't remember me?

"Appa. It's me Namjoon," I replied. I could see  the recognition in his eyes. He scratched the back of his neck.

"Oops. My bad, you've grown up a lot son," I looked at Appa, he had bags under his eyes. His shirt was stained with dark spots all over. "Come in."

Appa opened the door more and gestured his hand inside.

"Miso is still at school, or maybe on her way to work. I don't know," He stared at his wristwatch. I dragged the luggage inside the house. The house seemed well kept, aside from the many soju bottles littering the kitchen counter.

"I'll call Miso to tell her you're here," He said walking off.

I set the luggage down and walked around the living room. There were a few stray beer cans near the couch and on the coffee table. The picture frames on the wall were tilted and some were placed facedown on the TV platform. There were a few shirts strewn across the floor near the couch and some in the hallway.

There were four bedrooms, two were empty, one had the door wide open revealing a messy room with clothes on the floor. The final room had the door half open with a sign on it written in neat handwriting.

Knock First

I looked in and the room was painted a very light pink, a neatly made bed was in the corner and a small desk piled with papers, textbooks, and notebooks in the other corner.  A night stand with two thick books on it and a small alarm clock stood next to the bed.

At least she's taking care of herself, I thought to myself. I walked to the kitchen and gathered the soju bottles onto one side. Do they have enough food?

I opened the fridge and there were soju bottles and beer on the side of the fridge. There was leftover plate of food wrapped in saran-wrap and some kimchi.

"Joon-ah," My mom said. "Put the bottles here." She was holding out a cardboard box. "We can help Miso clean a little bit."

I helped her clean off the soju bottles on the counter and the beer cans in the living room. After we cleaned a little bit I walked outside and looked at the house again. A little bit of the paint was slightly scraping off.

"Oppa?" I turned around as a young girl walked out of her car. She walked up to me and crossed her arms.

"Took you long enough to visit me," She said. I smiled.

"Hey Miso,"
