-Spiderboy-
------------
You walk in to where Loki and Natasha are having an intense conversation. You stand in a dark corner so no one can see you, listening to the conversation escalate.
"I won't touch Barton. Not until I make him kill you! Slowly. Intimately. In every way he knows you fear! And when he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and when he screams, I'll split his skull! This is my bargain, you mewling quim!"
Natasha turned around holding herself, almost like she's actually afraid, "You're a monster." You hear the fear in her voice.
"Alright Loki that's enough!" you step in and help the guards usher Natasha out. "Why the hell did you do that?"
"Obviously to get her away from me." he turns around and walks to the other side of the cage with his head down.
"Well stop it, you're hurting everyone here except me and I cannot keep letting you do that."
"Do you want to know the truth?" he mutters.
"What?"
He turns on his heel and starts to walk towards your side of the glass again, "The truth. Do you want to know what it is?"
Taken by surprise, you sit there silently for a few seconds before responding, "...Yes."
"Why did you hesitate?"
"I just wasn't expecting you to come out like that, but please do tell me. I really do care." you look at his eyes again, remembering when you first saw them up close, a deep emerald color, but now seemed to be a dark icy blue.
"The truth is I prefer to talk to you." he has a meaningful feeling in his voice, like he meant what he said.
"But why me? What's so wrong with talking to the other Avengers? Your brother?"
"First of all I'm adopted. He could care less about my existence. Second, all the other Avengers treat me like dirt. Like I'm some test subject. But you, you treat me like another normal person, like I'm not a test subject in a tube. You have real conversations with me. Think about it, how much do I know about you and you know about me?" he stands there looking into your eyes, with a look of compassion.
"A lot but that doesn't give you an excuse to just keep hurting other people," you hold back a tear, envisioning what would happen if Loki had ever hurt your dad, "Just please, please -"
"I won't hurt your father, I promise." he gives you a genuine smile, "I would give you a hug, but I'm kind of stuck behind this glass." he chuckles to himself.
"Me too," you put your hand on the glass, as if it was going to disappear and let you through, but instead Loki put his right up to yours. "Actually..."
You walk over to the guard who was quietly watching, "Do you mind opening the door I believe it might help me get some answers." you whisper.
He looks at you nervously, then nods and opens the door enough to let you walk in. You give him a nod and walk over. You slip through the small crack and the guard closes it.
Immediately Loki gives you a hug, a comforting one. "I never did realize how small you are." he grins playfully and you punch his arm. "But a strong arm for a petite person."
