It was well into the afternoon as Adrien paced in his room. He wondered how he would get Marinette's Journal back to her without her think he had read it. For him to pull this off he would have to wait a bit before asking her out. Him just asking to go on a date after having her Journal which held the secret that she liked him would defiantly send up red signs.
Adrien also thought on what he would say when the time came to confess. Would he act like a cool, rich model? Or as himself which he preferred. In the end being himself was what he chose. After all it had been clear in Marinette's Journal she didn't care about his fame or wealth.
Seeing as his schedule was clear for the day he was going to go back and see Marinette. While there he would return the Journal and pretend he didn't know it was her's. He had already told Nathalie to have the Gorilla pull the car around front. Now what should he wear? It was funny really. Even though he was a model, and son of a fashion designer, he had no idea what to wear.
Usually it wouldn't matter since it was just suppose to be a social visit, but things were different now. Marinette liked him and he wanted to look his best when seeing her. Should he wear one of his Father's designs from this years winter selection, or last years fall line? Never had Adrien thought a girl could do this to him.
Nathalie entered the room after knocking and waited in the doorway. Her usual cool composure was broken. She seemed happier today, or found something amusing. Adrien looked at her and gave a confused look.
"What?" Adrien asked.
"I haven't seen you like this for sometime." Nathalie smiled. "Not since before..."
"Yeah," Adrien replied with a sad smile. "Not since before my Mother died."
"You've fallen hard for this girl, haven't you?"
"Very hard." Adrien grinned. "Which should I wear?"
Adrien held up both clothing options he had been debating on. Nathalie examined them then looked to Adrien. She then pointed to last years Fall piece and Adrien nodded. He like that one too. It was a tan suit designed for day to day wear meant for staying warm. Clothing in hand Adrien went to his bathroom to change.
"Your Father wishes to see you." Nathalie said threw Adrien's bathroom door.
"What for?" Adrien's muffled voice replied.
"He didn't say."
"Did you tell him about my plans to see Marinette?"
"Yes." Nathalie simply replied.
Sighing, Adrien emerged in his new cloths and moved to head to his Father's office. Inside the older man stood at the window and looked out on the city. 'What was going on in his mind?' Adrien wondered. Waiting for his Father to say something Adrien scanned the room. On the wall was his Grandfather's Portrait. It made him a bit upset to see it instead of his Mother's.
"Adrien," Gabriel said not turning around. "I was told by Nathalie that you were leaving."
"Yes Father," Adrien said. "I was going to see Marinette. I believe I have a book belonging to her so I was going to return it."
"Nathalie will handle that." Gabriel said in his normal emotionless voice. "You are to never go back there, or talk to that Marinette girl again. She is having a bad influence on you."
Adrien felt his heart shatter into a million pieces. No, he can't do this to him. Marinette was the only person to show him the undying love his parents never did. She was the first and only girl he loved. He wasn't just going to role over on his Father's order, not this time.
