Chapter 6: Punches

I attatched a pic collage of all of the characters and how they look like. All of them have been introduced so far.

Daya POV.

We pulled up to my grandmother's house and me and Kaya got out of the car.

"Im gonna see you tonight," Tes called out.

"Dont come around me. I ain't trynna be seen round you," I told him. "Thanks for the ride though."

"Kaya I'm gonna see you tonight?" Dre asked.

"Nigga probably in your dreams," she said walking into the house.

"Dre you somethin else boy," I laughed.

"He get it from his big bro," Tes said with a Stevie J smile. I laughed and was about to walk into the house before I saw my momma pull into the driveway.

"Damn you got another sister?" Dre asked.

"Nah thats my momma." I said as she walked over.

"Hey baby," she said hugging and giving me a kiss.  "And who are these two fine young men?"

"Momma this is my friend Tes and his little brother Dre."

"This can't be your momma Daya. She look better than you," Tes said making my momma cheese so hard.

"Well you know what they say? Black dont crack," she said turning around to go into the house.

"Nice to meet you ma'am," Tes called out.

"Likewise Mr Tes. Come over for dinner sometime. You too Dre," she said over her shoulder. I walked behind her.

"Bye Daya!" I said pretending not to hear what he said. When I made it in the house I got a text from Tes.

Tes: I'm not leaving till i get a goodbye.

I looked outside the window in the living room and saw that his car was still out there and he was leaning up against it. He saw me and the window and I waved to him. He waved back and got in his car and left.

I went down into my room to pick out what I was gonna wear tonight. I wanted to dress cute but then I wanted to be prepared if that bitch Crenshae and her girls wanted to pop off. I settled on my white forces with some high-waisted Levi's and a striped black and white crop top. I put it all on my bed.

My lil sister came down and sat on the sofa.

"Where you going?" she asked.

"To a party Kaya."

"Is Tes gonna be there. I know you like him." she said.

"Girl find some chill. I don't like him. If I did he would be mine right now." I said.

She gave me that look knowing I was lying. "He pretty cool. I don't know how Drelon his lil brother. He is so fuckin annoying dog."

"You need to stop cursing lil girl. Go find some friends to play with."

"That's why Im down here. Would you drop me off around the corner to my friend house. Her momma said it's alright and momma said she too tired and you could drop me off."

I rolled my eyes. I just wanted to chill until the party tonight but it was Friday night and Kaya deserved to have a little bit of fun with her friends.

"Go get the keys, imma be outside," I said.
