As I was now starting to understand, things with CWest weren't normal and were by no means safe. The group of us were now standing in the back dirty alleyway of the nightclub.
We were engulfed by the smell of cigarettes and the pungent smell of liquor. I had to hold my breath to stop myself from throwing up as the lack of food and the state of my run down body could only take so much of the surrounds.
As my eyes drifted between the others around me I noticed that no one cared about where we were or how I was feeling as all the eyes of the CWest men were zoning in on Jack Black.
I was about to take a shot at asking the Hulk what the hell was happening but instead found myself being pushing into the seat of the SUV.
Quickly looking back I saw the CWest men step forward and were beginning to viciously throw punches at Jack Black. What the hell. I fiddled with the car door and tried to open it but it was of no use. These men were smarter than they looked and must have turned on the auto lock feature. Bastards.
Yes Jack Black was kind of creepy but he was one of the first "real" people that I had spoken to after being captured.
He was cocky, don't get me wrong but he didn't seem like he'd be involved in a gang.
Readjusting my dress after it had hitched up from my attempts at opening the door, I turned to the seat beside me to stretch out and nearly screamed. "Holy crap you scared the shit out of me," I told the man dressed in his dark navy suit.
Charles was quiet and as we locked eyes I'd never been so confused. He was so still I almost thought he had passed out or was talented enough to sleep with his eyes open, till he blinked and readjusted his suit jacket.
"How," he stopped, scanned his eyes to the front seat and then looking back at me. "How did you even find him?"
"Find who?" I asked dumbly, what was he even on about. If I had known this guy any better I would have thought he had taken something tonight. His actions were off and even to a stranger like me I knew something was different about him.
Charles eyes had yet to leave mine and his stare was so piercing that I had to look away, "Campbell. How did you find him?"
Now I was even more confused, what was he going on about, "sorry, who the hell is Campbell, you aren't making any sense Charles."
"The guy that bought you that drink and was chatting you up at the bar. The one getting beaten to a pulp out there," he said with distaste.
My mind was blank for a second before the sound of a scream caused a shiver to take over my body and remind me of the man who was in fact being attacked behind the car.
"Campbell, the guy from the bar? He, he doesn't look like a Campbell, I pictured him more to be a Jack Black kind of guy," I looked back at Charles who was being one hundred percent serious.
"Uh, I don't even know what to say. I was just at the bar and he just came up and started talking to me. I barely listened to a word he said."
Charles expression faltered, "so you're telling me you didn't know who he was till three seconds ago when I told you his name."
I nodded, "I had no idea who that guy was. He was flirting with me, we chatted, bought me a drink and now he's over there being attacked by your men."
Confusion was written all over Charles' face before his signature smirk appeared. "I know exactly what to do," then he sat forward, "driver, get us out of here." I looked at Charles once more before realising I would never understand this twisted guy, then I thought, maybe I never wanted to.
