As Charles walked in the room he immediately started pacing back and forth. Slowly walking towards him, I reached out and grabbed his wrist. "What's going on Charles?"
His pacing immediately stopped and his eyes zoned in on my hand wrapped around his wrist. Realising what I'd done, I quickly retracted my hand and rushed back to sit on the edge of my bed. What possessed me to do that?
At the sound of Charles clearing his throat I looked up to find him standing right in front of me. His height meant he towered over me and I strained my neck to look at him.
Exhaling a deep breath, Charles threw his hands in his pockets, "Anthony pulled out of the soccer game tonight."
"What? How is that possible?"
Charles eyes were directly on me now and as much as I tried to keep eye contact, I cowered and looked away.
"One of my guys idiotically decided to send Anthony a final notice for his debt and of course the little shit used his brain and put two and two together. He hasn't been in Brisbane for weeks, he knew I'd make a move. His soccer team is claiming he's injured but I know it has everything to do with me."
Finding an inch of strength, I looked up at Charles, "well what do we do now?"
Twiddling his thumbs, Charles stopped for a split second before pulling out his phone and tapping away aimlessly.
A smirk slowly took over his features as his eyes lit up and they met mine again, "lets go, i've got a plan."
...
The car ride was uneventful. Charles had barely put his phone down, the Hulk was making hushed conversations with the driver and I was restless.
Charles had made no attempts to tell me what his plan was so I was hanging in to see how the night turned out.
As the roads began to get busy, I knew we were back in the heart of the Gold Coast. Taking in the sights and people walking around, I noticed that the car was driving right into the extravagant entry way of the most expensive hotel in the area. What were we doing here?
A middle aged man opened my door and held a hand out to me, while the Hulk and Charles rounded over to my side of the car. I had never been to the Versace hotel but it was definitely everything of my dreams.
The front valet was filled with Bentley's, Porches and BMW's while the front fountain looked like something pulled straight out of Venice.
As I followed Charles into the lobby my mouth dropped open as I took in the sight before me. There was marble absolutely everywhere.
Floors, walls and ceilings were covered in gold Versace emblems and beautiful chandeliers hung and twinkled from the ceilings.
The hotel screamed luxury and money, lots of money.
In all my awe I didn't even realise that I had stopped dead in my tracks to admire the reception area, ultimately losing sight of Charles.
Looking around the never ending lobby, my eyes finally trailed over to Charles who was strutting his way to the hotel reception desk.
A group of giggles erupted from a nearby couch and I knew I wasn't the only one staring at him.
Ladies that were gathered together on the couch had mouths hung open as them and I admired Charles in all his glory.
Before we left the warehouse, Charles had insisted on changing and i'll give it to him, those blue denim jeans did wonders.
Paired with a latte coloured sweater his gorgeously tanned skin stood out in contrast. His flat and no doubt muscly chest left little to the imagination while his hair looked messy and effortlessly cool.
