I rolled my eyes before following suit and swimming to the shoreline as I watched Winter drag the Captains unconscious body from the lake. He looked to me with a sigh.
He looked so broken and so unsure of himself. I smiled softly as a walked to him. Gripping his hand tightly, I pulled him along behind me as we left before anyone came looking for the Captain. I glanced back at the fallen Captain one last time before we disappeared into the tree line.

News of the Captains condition was everywhere which was good, because it meant that he was alive and would be okay. That was one less death to way on the X-Hydra assassin's shoulders.

I sat in front of Winter, sorry Bucky. It's gonna take a while to get used to, then again so is being called Hope.

"Does it hurt?" He asked as he used a small pair of scissor and a pair of tweezers to pull out each stitch keeping my mouth shut.

"Mm-mm." I hummed a no as I shook my head a little.

"Good." He said with a smile. He had already removed half of them and I was now trying to open that side of my mouth and trying to poke my tounge through it.

"Would you stop that?" He said in mock annoyance, a smile still in place. I listened to his plea though and stopped, waiting patiently for the rest of the stitches to be removed.

"Alright, alright. Last one." He said with joy as he cut it and pulled it through. He placed the last stitch onto the little white plate that sat on the rickety table beside us. I reached a hand up to my jaw, tracing it to my lips. I ghosted my fingers over the skin. It didn't hurt, it just felt a little weird. I started to slowly open my mouth, it hurt my jaw a little but I persisted. Bucky looked back up at me and smiled brightly. I returned it with a white toothy grin.

"You know what? I've never seen your teeth before." Bucky said with a chuckle. My smile grew more if that was even possible.

"BUCKY!" The first word I had spoken in the last eight months. I'm glad it was his name. I said it loudly as I jumped forward wrapping my arms around his neck. His hands gripped my waist as he laughed. We both laughed long and hard.

"I love the sound of your laugh." He said as he tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear. I smiled softly at him this time. Bucky leaned forward quickly and pressed his lips to mine. We moved in sync, in a slow passionate kiss. He licked my bottom lip and I hmed in appreciation opening my mouth for him. The kiss grew more heated and I became very aware of his cool metal hand now resting on my upper thigh.
We pulled away to breathe.

"I don't what I would being doing now if didn't have you." Bucky said as we rested our foreheads against each others. I chuckled.

"You wouldn't be kissing me." I answered with a smile and a soft laugh. He laughed as well before pecking my lips again. We pulled apart and I opened my eyes to meet his.

"What do we do now?" He asked as he gestured to the small run down apartment that surrounded us in New Yorks back allys. I smiled.

"Whatever you want, as long as we do it together." I said smiling brightly at him. He smiled back.

"Whatever I want." He repeated testing the phrase. In a swift movement he stood up and I gave a yelp as I wrapped my legs around his waist to stop myself from falling. He gripped the underside of my thighs as he smiled cheekily at me before walking to our sorry excuse of a double bed, which was just a matress on the floor. He pretty much just fell forwards landing me on my back on the bed. I groaned half laughing at the same time, Bucky chuckling with me. He moved a piece of my hair off my face as I wrapped my arms around his neck. We smiled softly at each other, relishing in each others closeness.

Bucky leaned down and kissed me. It started off slow then grew more heated and lustful as he moved from my lips to my jaw and neck leaving kisses and a bite that was sure to leave a mark. I moaned as his metal and flesh hand slid under my shirt and up my bare sides. This was going to be one hell of a way to spend our first night of freedom.
