He leaned in and kissed the corner of my mouth just beyond the stitches then gently kissed the other side. My eyes nearly fluttered closed at his thoughtfulness, my heart bursting. A woman entered, glasses perched on her nose and folders in her arms. She looked between us and then shrugged,
The Soldier and I watched her as she then exited the room, a new set of files in her arms.
We looked to each other then to the door before we both burst into laughter. As my strangled laughter came to an end and we sobered up, we left the room and headed our separate ways.

"Crimson Snow, Winter Soldier. I want you to find this man and kill him." That was the short, concise briefing Winter and I received as we stepped into Pierce's briefing room. A picture of a man with dark skin, no hair and an eye patch, was projected onto the wall. The Soldier and I looked at each other then back at the image. The Soldier let me study the image, knowing I had a photographic memory, before he nodded at Peirce.

"When do we leave?" He asked as I watched them converse.

"Now." Pierce answered. He seemed a little on edge. "Take Rumlow's old team for support numbers.

"You doubt we can do this?" The Soldier shot back. Pierce glared at him for his out burst. He took a calming breath.

"No. But Fury is smart, cunning. It will help to have more coverage. Work smarter, not harder." He said as he left the room.

"You leave in an hour." He added as he disappeared down the hall. I looked to the Soldier and sighed.

"Let's prep and load up." He said as we exited the room and headed for the armoury. I nodded as we began to suit up.

.
I watched the Winter Soldier stand in the middle of the road blaster raised. He fired causeing the car to skid on its nose and then flip past him, as he idly side stepped, the vehicle landing on its top and skidding to a stop a fair way down the street. I walked out from the side of the road gun loaded and ready, to meet the flipped car.
I wrenched the door off as The Soldier came to stand next to me. The car was empty, but a large hole had been made through the roof and straight into the ground as well. The Soldier and I looked at each other through our masks. The Shield Agent, Nick Fury, was gone.

The Soldier growled in annoyance. I looked to him just as annoyed and pointed in the direction of his bike parked half a block away. He nodded and we took off in a run. Pierce isn't going to be happy.

"You lost him!" Piece yelled as he slammed his hands against the steel briefing table.
"What?! Were you fighting with your eyes closed?!" He yelled again this time he stormed around the table and slapped me hard across the face. My head flicked to the side, my cheek stinging. I watched the Soldiers metal fist clench in anger and quickly placed mine over it as Peirce turned away walking back to the end of the table. The Soldier's hand relaxed and I released it.

"Get out of my sight!" He yelled his back still to us. We quickly left the room without a sound. Once out of earshot from the briefing room he stopped me.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he gently turned my head with his callused fingers on my chin. I rolled my eyes and shook my head out of his loose grip.

'I'm fine. Super Soldier, remember?' I signed to him, one corner of my mouth quirked up. He smiled softly.

"I remember." He said with a smile and roll of his eyes. We stood in the corridor for a few more minutes, just relishing in the silence of each others presence.

'I'm going to head to bed.' I signed as I sighed through my nose. He nodded and looked both ways down the hall. Apparently satisfied with their emptiness, he leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on my forehead.

"Goodnight." He said quickly as he took off down the hall at a jog a smile in place. I stared after him in shock. A smile sprun across my face and I shook my head, huffing an odd laugh as I headed in the opposite direction, to my now, always open, cell. Oh Winter, how you have changed from when I first met you.
