Warning: Death and graphic fight scene.

Apparently satisfied with their emptiness, he leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on my forehead.
"Goodnight." He said quickly as he took off down the hall at a jog a smile in place. I stared after him in shock. A smile sprun across my face and I shook my head, huffing an odd laugh as I headed in the opposite direction, to my now, always open, cell. Oh Winter, how you have changed from when I first met you.

I huffed as the Soldier slammed me into the ground for the fourth time that day. I was sick of getting my ass handed to me in front of all the others training in the room.

"Get up." He said gruffly as he kicked my side. I rolled over and stood trying to catch my breath. Ever since I could remember, which suspicionsly wasn't long, I had been training with the Soldier.

Everyday was the same, get up at 4am and take laps for an hour, at 5 push-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups till 6, then combat and weaponry training with the soldier till 6 at night. Which then led to four hours of training in other things, lock picking, driving any and every vehicle known to man, how to build a bomb, how to disappear when necessary, odd bits like that. Then I was allowed rest. Though I didn't need sleep they let me have it as a mercy and held it over my head as punishment, It would be taken away, they new the more often I slept the more it felt natural and came easy, but once it got irregular, I felt the sleep deprivation and the want and need for it. That and they whipped me if I was disobedient.

I stood and held up my fists but remained still, just breathing for a couple seconds.

"Again!" He demanded. I did as I was told going through the fighting motions I'd been given.

"You suck." The soldier said as he slammed me into the ground again a hand at my throat.

'Well maybe I'd get better if you actually tried teaching me instead of throwing me my on my ass.' I signed to him as I gasped a little for air tapping twice on the ground. The soldier and I had learnt sign language to communicate, and now it was like talking, an instant reaction, just like spouting a verbal response.

"How is she?" The voice of Alexander Peirce rang through the training room as I tried to school my breath.

"Disappointing." Was all the Soldier answered with. I launched at him in annoyance. I punched aiming for his face only for him to duck and grab my arm sweeping a foot behind mine and landing me on the ground on my back. I groaned.

"I don't think she's worth all the trouble." Rumlow said as he stopped training with the guys around him.

"How long has he been working with her?" Peirce asked Rumlow. I sat up looking between them with distaste.

"Three weeks." Rumlow replied as he looked at the Winter Soldier and myself with annoyance and disappointment.

"A month. How is she with everything else?" Peirce asked as he watched me stand and dust myself off.

"Well enough, but she's no super weapon." He answered as he crossed his arms over his chest. Peirce examined me for a few more seconds thinking.

"Scrap her, we'll find someone else." He said then turned and left as men with guns came towards me. What! Their gonna kill me because I can't learn this shit faster?! My eyes widened in fear and shock as Rumlow smirked wickedly at me.

I grunted attempted to yell in protest as one of the guards pulled out his gun. Soldier watched on in shock not know what to do. The gun fired and in a split second I whipped my head to the side so quickly I swear I saw the bullet fly past my face, burying into the wall behind me. Everyone looked at me in shock as I stared at the wall in equal astonishment. My shock quickly truned into anger. I breathed heavily through my nose and slowly turned to the guards in charge of 'scrapping' me. Oh hell no.

I ran at the one nearest to me. I slammed my fist into the side of his head and he dropped dead the force behind my hit incompatible. I moved quickly to the second and third blocking a hit and punching one twice in the stomach then upside the jaw as he collapsed to the floor. The third had his gun pointed at my head before I could blink, this didn't fase me. He shot and I felt it hit my arm but I was quick to disarm him. I pulled the gun apart in a swift movement as the fifth and final guard came at me distracting me from the fourth. I stabbed the remainder of the pulled apart gun into the mans neck and he sunk to the ground with a gurgle. I whirled to face the other guard fists raised and ready. He threw his hands up in surrender. Rumlow's gun went off and the guard dropped, dead to the floor as he smiled at me. Rumlow turned to one of the doorways in and out of the training room.

"Looks like she has potential after all. She just needed the right motivations." He said smiling. I turned to where he was looking to see Peirce standing in the doorway with a smile that sent chills down my spine.

"Indeed." Was all he said before he disappeared again. I relaxed and winced at the pain in my uper arm. I touched it to find it bleeding.

"Come on." The Soldier said as he grabbed me by my good arm and pulled me out of the training room and down the hall to a medical room.

"Sit." He commanded as he pointed at the medical bed. I looked at him confused but followed his orders.
I watched him as he patched me up in silence, not even looking at me.

'Why are you helping me?' I signed in curiosity as I watched him work. He wouldn't meet my eyes and didn't answer though I knew he'd seen me ask.
