Katniss's Pov
As soon as I heard the announcement, first I though Oh gosh a dance, but ten thought maybe Peeta will ask me. but at the same time I know he wont because no one likes me.
Right when Class got out I went to meet Annie for free period. I usually sit with all of the group during this time, mostly because we all have free at that time but also because I only know a few people.
We all take a sit at one of the tables and either pull out homework or we just sat there and started talking to the other. I sat there and waited for Annie to finish her homework. When she was done she turned to me.
"So what do you want to talk about?" Annie asked.
"Well i want to know what all you told Peeta," I ask her, and her face turns pale.
"The only thing I told him was that Johanna likes Gale, because they made an agreement or something." She says and all I have to say is that I feel a lot better now.
~Lunch~
Clove and I where walking into the lunch room, when all of the sudden Delly comes walking over to us. Why she always come before lunch I don't know but I really wish she would just go fall in a hole or something.
"Hey Annie, I was wondering if Peeta has a date to the dance yet." she said in a Innocent voice. I as getting angry at this chick, but my thoughts slowly turned as I heard what Annie said.
"Yea he dose, so you need to go find someone else that actually does like you, to go to the dance with" she said I as mad and sad at the same time. One because Peeta has a date to the dance, and second because this bitch would not leave.
"Oh Annie, why do you have to lie, we all know you said that because you don't like me. So 0.I am going to go ask him myself." She said and Annie looked scared. right when Delly left Annie got out her phone and started texting.
"Who are you texting?" I ask.
" Peeta, I need to warn him of whats coming his way." she says in return.
"So is what you said about Peeta already having a date true." I ask, hoping she would say no. I got my wish.
"No I just said that because I really had the girl and I know someone who likes him." she said, looking at me wit eyes that said everything she didt need say.
"Dont look at me like that, hes probably already taking someone else anyways." with that said I walk towards the lunch room.
~Peeta's Pov~
When Annie sent me that text saying that Delly is coming and asked if I had a date to the dance. I got up and ran out the door. I started running down the hallway, and then saw Katniss walking into the lunch room so I went to go ask Annie about a new plan to get Katniss to go on a date with me.
"Hey Annie I need your help with a new plan." I tel her.
"Why, because the dance...I was thinking the same thing. Maybe you should think of a cute way t ask her t it," she said. I though about it for a second and then looked back at Annie. She looked at me with disappointment that Don't have any idea on how to ask her.
"Really Peeta, have you learned nothing from my rants about what Finnick has done and what I wanted him to do. I'm really about to hurt you." when she sad that I started to slowly back away. When I backed away enough to see that finnick was starting to come up to her. She started running at me and then finnick grabbed her.
"Let go of me Finnick, He hasn't been listening to me when I talk about you!" When she sad that he started tickling her, and I just laughed and started walking away. I started thinking abut how to ask Katniss to the dance, when I bumped into her.
