Lucy's POV:
As I got off the phone with Mercedes, I walked over to my closet, trying to decide what to wear.
I find my floral printed skirt, black tank top, and oversized cream coloured cardigan. Once I change, I brush my ombre hair and grab my Coach crossbody bag. I stick in my Iphone and some money and decide im ready to leave. I quickly look at myself in the mirror one last time and start to head down the stairs.
When I get to the bottom, I can hear my parents talking in the family room. I walk over to them and stand until they notice.
"Hi honey", my mom says. "What are you all dressed up for?"
"Im going to Starbucks with Mercedes".
"Oh okay", my parents say.
"Do know what time you plan on coming home?", my dad said.
"Um soon I guess, once we get our orders we'll head back home".
"Ok make sure to call us so we know your safe", my mom said.
"Don't worry mom i'll be fine, its like a three minute walk".
"We know we just wanna make sure nothing happens to you".
"Ugh mom im not a kid anymore I can take care of myself".
"Teenagers", my dad says to my mom while shaking his head.
I roll my eyes in annoyance. "Bye guys".
"Bye Lucy, love you", my parents said.
"Love you too".
I make my way to the back door and spot my black Toms. I slip them on and walk out the door. As im walking I grab my phone and start texting Mercedes: "On my way, see u soon".
