Unexpected love (a Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier fanfic)

***Chapter 10 pt.1***

Lucy's POV:

Since Mercedes and I took less time than usual  to get ready, there was still some time until Nash and Cam would  show up.

"Mercedes?", I ask.

"Yeah what is it?"

"Um well since theres still some time until the guys show up, do you think I should just tell my parents now and get it over with?"

"Yeah sure If you want". 

I debate in my head wether or not I should or shouldn't, but then I realize: Why should I be keeping this from my parents? Even though they may not understand me at times, they always come through, and they deserve to know the truth. When I think of it, the main reason I had lied was because I was afraiad about what they would say or think of me. But why? They never judged me. 

"Actually ya, im gonna go tell them".

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"No its ok, it'll probably be really awkward for you".

She laughs a little. "Ok i'll just be on my phone if you need anything".

So I start making my way downstairs, trying to think of exactly how im going to tell this to my parents.When I get to the living room, I notice that only my mom is there.

"Hi mom, where's dad?"

"He had to go get something from the store, he won't be back for a while".

"Oh".

"Wheres Mercedes?"

"She's on the phone right now, um listen can I talk to you for a second?"

"Yeah sure go ahead, what is it?"

"Ok but I need you to promise you'll just hear me through and please don't get mad".

"Ya I promise, what's wrong?"

"Umm I dont really know how to say this but, remember when how I said I was going out to dinner with Mercedes and Ashley?"

"Yes".

"Well im actually going on a...date". She fell silent for a few seconds and I was starting to get scared.

"Wow, I mean thats amazing im so happy for you, but why did you lie to me and your father?"

"I don't know, I was just scared about what you would say"

"Come here", she signalled for me to sit down beside her. She pulls me into a hug and starts talking again.

"I know you may not think this, but I get it".

"Really?", I say surprised.

"Yes I do because I did the same thing when I was around your age, I would tell you the story although im assuming you don't have alot of time, but anyways its okay".

"Im really sorry mom, I just don't know what I was thinking".

"I forgive you but just promise that from now on you will tell us the truth?"

"I promise", I say with a slight smile.

"Ok now that thats over with, tell me more about this guy!"

"What do you want to know?"

"Well the obvious, whats his name, when did you meet, where did you meet, etc".

Keep in mind my mom has no clue who Nash Grier is.

"Well his name is Nash and we actually met today at Starbucks. Oh and I forgot to mention he was there with one of his friends Cameron who is actually Mercedes' date for tonight too".

"Oh wow so you guys are doing that whole double date thing?"

"Yep".

"So what time are you leaving?"

"Five". 

"Well I guess I better stop talking to you now", she laughs.

"Yeah, im going to go upstairs and get Mercedes".

"Ok, and Lucy?"

"Yeah mom?"

"Thanks again for telling me the truth".

"No problem mom", I give her a quick hug and go back upstairs to Mercedes.

"Did you tell her?", Mercedes asks.

"Yes and she's okay with it"

"Thank god, see I told you she wouldn't be mad!", she jokes with me.

"Mhm", I smirk.

"Its already 4:52, should we go down and start waiting?", Mercedes asks me.

"Yeah lets go".

After about a minute of waiting, the doorbell rings. Mercedes and I start looking at each other with excitement as I start to turn the door handle.
