The air was nothing like Florida's; musky, wet foliage and a little bit like pee if I was going to be completely honest. I liked though. I had never stepped foot out of Tarpon Springs, Florida before until now.
It was simply exhilarating, at the least.
Cuba was a beautiful disaster;. It's crumbling buildings were vibrant and alive with the colors of bright green, pale yellow, sharp pink and baby blue. There wasn't a white building in sight, besides the Capital Building with it's large dome.
My hotel was supposed to be famous, but it was mediocre compared to any hotel I had ever been to. It was kind of a culture shock. I was happy though, happy to be blessed enough to experience this trip.
"Senorita, please let me take your bags." I smiled kindly at the bell-hop, whose uniform was slightly crumpled. He looked kind of frazzled, and sweat lined his brow.
"Oh, Don't worry about it. Gracias, though." I smiled at him and he shrugged, walking away to find somebody else to help. I headed towards the stair, since my room was only a couple flights up and my two bags weren't that heavy.
I was so excited for this whole week.
