Nash or Hayes

Chapter 7

Nicole's POV

My alarm com went off at 6:30am. I'm still really mad at Nash. Last night what he did, he could have killed Carter! But I'm thinking that Carter did that on purpose. Just to get Nash mad. I really need some chick friends instead of guy friends who fight over me.

I got in the shower and did my makeup, brushed my teeth and my hair. I put it in a tight high pony. For an outfit I put on a sky blue crop top that said "#Cool" with a black Spaghetti strap under. I put on some jean short shorts and some black converse. I checked my phone and it was now 7:00am. I had 2 new texts.

Hayes :) : morning beautiful ;) see you at school. And I don't blame u for being pissed at Nash. I'm mad at him 2. He told me everything this morning.

Me : morning. :) and I'm glad he told u and I didn't have 2. I'd prob cry while telling u. It was scary! anyways. Meet me at our lockers :)

Then I checked the other one

Carter😉: morning babe :) I'll pick u up @ 7:30 to walk to school.

Me: morning :) ok I'm ready. :)

Umm... So about last nite... r u ok?

Carter😉: yep. Just a few bruises but I'm fine. I have an important question to ask u when I pick u up ok?

Me: ok :)

I loved it when he called me babe. Even though I didn't hear it. I still loved it. He came to my door and I grabbed my bag and phone off the charger. "Bye mom! going to school now!" I yelled. Dad was always at work when I woke up.

(C-Carter n-Nicole)

C- "hey you look nice."

N- "thanks. You too." I blushed a bit.

C- "so about that question..." He said. He sounded nervous. He stopped us and took my hand and looked into my eyes.

C- "Nicole I know we only met yesterday and all but when I saw you walk into the school with Nash and Hayes I couldn't keep my eyes off you. You were the most beautiful girl in the school. And when I saw you laughing with Nash and Hayes I got jealous because I wanted that to be me you were laughing with. No, I needed it to be me. And when we kissed last night I never wanted to leave. Even though I did get beat up and you broke up whatever you had with Nash. but anyways. Nicole, your amazing and beautiful and I never want to leave your side. Nicole Waters, will you be my girlfriend."

I felt a tear roll down my cheek and he whipped it away

**FLASHBACK**

"Nicole, your the most amazing and beautiful girl I've ever met. Will you be my girlfriend?" Chase asked. Then he took off my sweater and saw my cut up wrists. I tried to pull my arms away it he held on like his life depended on it.

"Nicole... what is this?"

"Chase you don't understand. I can't be your girlfriend. I have a horrible life and I can't put you in it. I love you to much to hurt you. My dad - he'll find out! and then he'll hurt you! like he made me hurt myself like this. He abused my mom and brother. He beat me. And he almost killed my last boyfriend. I can't. I'm sorry." I told him and ran away crying.

**END OF FLASHBACK**

C- "Nicole?"

N- "I need to show you something before I answer" showed him my scars. There's fading but still visible. I started crying again.

C- "nicole... I don't care about this. What who ever made you do this will pay."

Carter's POV

I kissed each scar on both wrists. I can't believe someone this beautiful would do this! and that sick bastard who did this will pay. It's killing me to not tell her that I actually love her. But we just met.

C- "So Nicole, will you be my girlfriend?"

She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed my nose.

N- "Yes Carter, I will be your girlfriend." We walked to school and we stopped at her locker.

(C=Carter n=Nicole h=Hayes)

H- "Hey Nicole, what took you so long? hey Carter."

N- "Hi Hayes. I just had something to do quickly but I guess it wasn't that quick."

C- "Hi hayes. Well Nicole since we don't have any class this morning I'll see you at lunch. Bye" I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and went to my locker.

Hayes POV

H- "Umm. Friends with benefits?"

N- "Hayes I know you like me so I'll be the one to tell you. Carter asked me to be his girlfriend this morning. And..."

H- "And..?"

N- "And I said yes. Please don't be mad or upset."

My heart stopped and shattered in a million pieces.

H- "Oh." Is all I could say. I walked away and started to run. I ran to the bathroom. There was people in it. Ugh. People.

"Get. Out." I said. They just stared at me. "GET OUT!" I yelled. They got out and I just stayed sitting on the floor.

(NH=Nash)

NH- "Hayes... what's wrong?"

H- "Carter... Nicole..."

NH- "What? I don-" I cut him off

H- "NICOLE AND CARTER. HE ASKED HER. SHE SAID YES" I just lost it and hugged Nash who was tensing up.

NH- "I fucked this up for both of us. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have beat Carter's wimpy ass."

H- "You know what. I still hate you. But we need to break them up. Then I'll get her. Then, even though it's hurts me to say it, you get her."

NASH POV

NH- "You would really do that? Thanks bro."

H- "I'm gunna skip the rest of the day. please don't tell mom!"

NH- "I won't. I'll skip too. So you don't tell mom either. Or your dead meat!"

H- "Ok ok!"

For the rest of the day we talked about our plan on how to break Nicole and Carter up and talked about Nicole.

After school I went up to Carter

C- "Nash get the hell away from me! It's not my fault she likes me more then you and that you fucked everything up with her!"

I punched him in the stomach.

NH- "Fuck you Carter. But. You won. So good luck." I said and just walked away.

Can't wait to start the plan.
