Chapter X

Gabbie POV

We make our way towards the car, and I get in first, making sure I sit in the middle so I can be next to Liza. Liza gets in after me and Kristen sits in the front, to drive. We get going, and I snuggle up to Liza.

L: you right babe?

G: yeah.

L: if you need to talk, I'm here.

G: you sound like Kristen

K: hey!

G: only speaking truth.

We pull up outside the house, and I get out after Liza does. I take a deep breath, and she squeezes my hand.

We walk in and see Todd and Zane sitting on the couch on their phones. They look up, and start asking questions.

Z: are you ok?

T: do you hate heath?

G: yes, I'm ok. No, I don't hate heath. And, is Heath ok?

Z: I think so.

T: he is fighting with himself

G: ok, can I go talk to him.

Z: ummm.... ok?

T: are you sure?

G: yes I'm sure. I witnessed how much you guys sobered up after hearing what Heath said.

T: ok, he is in his room.

I start walking towards his room. I stop outside just to listen to what he was saying.

H: you fucked up..........she's probably gonna end up dead now.............. you deserve to die more than she does.

I open the door as quietly as possible. He doesn't notice. I signal for Liza to stay and start walking into his room. He doesn't notice. My shadow is over him. He doesn't notice. I crouch down (he is sitting on the bed) so I'm at eye height.

G: hey.

H: OMG are you ok? Is Kristen ok? Do you hate me?

G: yes I'm ok, I think Kristen's ok, no I don't, but why were you saying to yourself what you where saying?

H: well, you're like a sister to me, and if a sibling of mine died because of me, I nearly couldn't live with that.

G: are you ok?

H: yeah.

G: sure?

H: yeah. I'm so sorry by the way.

G: hey, I accept your apology, but the only way I can get through this again like I already did, is if you just care about me. Trust me, it worked once, it'll work again.

L: Gabbie, Kristen's done, you wanna go?

H: she moving in.

G: yeah, she is adamant about it.

H: ok, good luck.

He suddenly jumps up and hugs me. I catch my balance then hug back. We stay there for a while until Heath pulls away.

H: i love you, so much. If you ever need anything, call me.

G: ok,

I start walking out of the room and all eyes are on me.

Z: are you alright?

G: yeah I'm fine.

T: call me if you need anything.
