Chapter 4

We all just giggled and laughed at our stupidity and continued to look at the pictures.

            As the prefectural’s were coming up right around the corner Gou decided to check our obento’s, to see if we were getting the right protein and our food groups in our diet.

            Being Haru, he told her that he was getting enough protein and food groups he needed in his lunch box. And being Gou she checked his lunch box to reveal nothing but rice and mackerel. She gave him a 43 as a grade.

            Then it was Makoto’s turn. We all looked at Makoto’s lunch box; it looked delicious obviously, especially since it was Makoto. Makoto’s lunch box had a lot of meat….but fewer vegetables than meat. So with that, Makoto got a 68 as a grade on his lunch box.

            Next was Rei; Rei boasted about how his lunch box was the best and how it was beautiful. Surprisingly, Rei’s lunch box looks delicious, and beautiful. But that was expected from Rei because after all, he was obsessed with everything looking beautiful and perfect. When Gou looked at it she gave him a 63 as a grade. And being Rei, he was upset about the low score he had gotten like the rest of them.

            Second last was Nagisa; Nagisa had brought Iwatobi High specialty Iwatobi Cream bread. He bought it from the school cafeteria because well it was obvious that he didn’t know how to make his own meals… I think. Nagisa told everyone that it had chocolate, strawberry jam and marmalade in it. It was also for 480 yen…which he thought was cheap and which Rei and Gou thought was expensive. And for his juice, it was all sugar… and not real fruit juice. Nagisa got 0 points for being beyond hope…according to Gou.

            It seems that they forgot about me as I started to eat my lunch and sip my milk carton. When I sipped on my milk carton they all started to stare at me, but I stared back. Gou got up all in my face to look at my lunch box and continued to stare at it.

            Gou: Ano…Shiro-senpai, what’s in your lunch box?

            Me: Ano… fried egg roll, rice, winter melon, and octopus sausages with milk…why?

            Nagisa and Makoto: Wahhhh! It looks delicious!

            Rei: It is arranged beautifully!

            Gou: Finally! Someone with a well-balanced lunch box!

            Haru: Oi, Shi…why don’t you make that for me?

            Me: Because you always insist on making your own lunch and you are always late because you insist on taking a bath with your swimming trunks in the morning!

            Haru:…

            Nagisa: UWAHHHHHH!

            Makoto: You don’t have to say it like that…

            Gou: DON’T BABY HIM!

            Makoto and Gou both sigh in defeat as they look at Nagisa.

            Gou: Nagisa-kun, remember you aren’t just one person anymore! Not just Nagisa-kun but all of you as well! Remember you are all part of the relay team now…except for Shiro-senpai of course. You four people united as one body!

            All four of them: Gou-chan….

            Gou: Therefore, Nagisa-kun you are hereby forbidden from buying cafeteria bread.
