Midoriya sat alone in his office, idly playing with a pencil. He was supposed to be planning for a raid, but...

"Boss?" He looked up, and saw Yui, a mess of metal and wire in her hands, standing in front of him, looking kind of concerned. "You good?"

"Oh yeah, I'm fine." He mumbled. Yui cocked an eyebrow. "I mean- why?"

"You seem kind of out of it." She replied, red eyes filled with concern. Midoriya shrugged.

"Maybe I am, a little." Yui sat down next to him, preparing for an emotional spheal.

"What're you working on?" He asked, pointing to the lump of machinery. Yui shrugged nonchalantly.

"Nothing important." She muttered, fishing a screwdriver out of her pocket and attacking her project for a few minutes.

"Yui... how long do you think we're going to be doing this?"

Yui looked up. "What do you mean?" She replied, her tone full of confusion.

"I mean - this." He gestured to the whole room around them, implying the building and the cause. "How long until it's enough?"

Yui paused, looking up at the ceiling as well. She frowned.

"When our cause is heard out I guess."

"How long until that happens?" Midoriya asked. Yui turned, eyes dark.

"I have no clue. Whenever the public decides to listen."

"How can we make that happen?" Yui sighed.

"Is there any particular reason you're asking me this Midoriya?" She retorted, tone dry and slightly annoyed. "I mean, what do you want to take away from this conversation?"

"Um... I - I don't know. I... I just feel like what we're doing is kind of -"

"Pointless?" Yui finished. Midoriya nodded.

"I mean, what will taking down the hero really get the point across?" Yui tilted her head in obvious confusion. "What will that prove?"

"It proves that their hopes are false, and that the whole idea is silly." Midoriya looked down at the ground. "Midoriya, what are you suggesting?"

"Do... you think that there are... other ways to go about showing that? One that doesn't involve -"

"Breaking the law." Yui finished.

"No- that involves people getting hurt!" Midoriya stood up, so that he was face-to-face with Yui, expression turned downward in intense disgust. "You saw what happened to Yuki when the heroes knocked her out - now she's hurt, and in jail! What about Teruki - when he was knocked down the elevator shaft during the Ingenium raid? I just think -"

"You're backing out now?!" Yui exclaimed. "What is this about, your boyfriend? Did he put you up to this?!"

"No he didn't -" Midoriya exclaimed, face flushing. "I just think that what we're doing isn't doing anyone any good! The only people we're serving is us!"

"Not only are you a traitor, you're a coward." Yui spat. "After everything. I thought you cared about the organization! If not, then why'd you take down the 'corrupt league'?! I helped you with that! Does all our sacrifice - MY sacrifice - mean nothing?!"

"It's not that I don't care!" Midoriya yelled. "It's that I'm concerned with everyone's safety! What if you get captured next?!" Yui looked taken aback. "I just -" All the anger drained out of Midoriya's tone, and he sighed. "...I'm just worried about everything."

Yui sighed. "Bleeding heart." She mumbled. "Okay. I believe you. But if you jump ship -" She pointed at him with her screwdriver in a very threatening way. "- I will kill you."

Midoriya nodded quickly. Yui smirked, and turned on her heel to leave.

He decided not to tell her that he was planning on doing exactly that.
