Allies

Caitlin was on her way to the nurses office for her shift when she heard something in the lockers.

"A little help here?" A voice asked. "Is anyone there?"

Caitlin opened the locker to find Zack.

"Who put you in here?" Caitlin asked.

Speed and Lash were heard laughing as they neared the locker. "What a loser." Speed said.

Caitlin looked at them. "You want another round?" She asked sternly.

Speed and Lash suddenly stopped laughing and raced off.

"Come on, let's do something about those bruises." Caitlin said walking Zack to the nurses office.

"Do you know how much longer you'll be staying?" Zack asked as Caitlin dealt with the injuries.

Caitlin shrugged. "They didn't tell me that part." She said.

"How can you handle people like them?" Zack asked.

Caitlin smiled. "I've dealt with things much worse than them." She said. "More than you could imagine."

Zack looked Caitlin. "At least your powers help you." He said. "All I do is glow."

Caitlin chuckled.

Zack looked at Caitlin for a second and then walked over to a light switch and turned it off. He immediately started glowing.

Caitlin had wide eyes. "It may not be helpful in this way." She said. "But have you tried anything else with it?"

"Like what?" Zack asked as he turned the light back on.

"Maybe your glow is just the basics of it." Caitlin explained. "Hold your hand out and see if you can make something happen."

Zack did what she said and in a matter of seconds a small green wisp appeared around his hand. It's energy then absorbed the lights from the room and created a massive glow.

Zack powered down and the light returned.

"That was amazing." Caitlin said.

Just then an alarm went off and Caitlin hurried to a nearby teacher.

"What's going on?" Caitlin asked

"Someone's entering from a portal." The teacher said.

Caitlin realized this was possibly a threat and let Killer Frost take control.

A portal opened nearby and two kids fell out just before it closed.

"Phoebe?" Killer Frost asked one of them.

Phoebe nodded and turned to the boy beside her. "You alright? She asked.

The boy nodded as Medula walked over.

"Mr. Clancy, it's about time you decided to show up again." Medula said. "Your suspension was a week, not a month."

"Ian, you go here?" Phoebe asked.

Ian rolled his eyes. "As much as I wish I didn't, Yeah." He replied as he and Phoebe stood up.

Killer Frost looked at Phoebe. "Good to see you again Mimic." She said.

"You too Frost." Phoebe said. "Have you seen Ruby anywhere?" She asked.

Killer Frost shook her head. "I haven't seen any of you since that deal with the space rock." She replied.

"Yeah, a lot has happened since then." Phoebe said.

Just then Speed walked over to Phoebe.

"The name's Speed." Speed said. "Yours?"

Phoebe sighed. "Sorry, not interested." She said.

"You're making a big mistake." Speed said touching her arm.

"Actually that's you." Ian said.

"You know the saying you shouldn't lay your hands on a girl?" Killer Frost asked. "You might wanna remember that around her."

Phoebe smiled. "It's Speed right?" She asked. "Think fast." She said before copying Speeds' power and using it on him.

"Good work." Killer Frost said.

"This isn't over." Speed said as Phoebe walked away. "I was just taking it easy on you little-."

Phoebe turned around and started walking towards Speed. "You weren't going to say girl were you?" She asked.

Speed looked around and then raced off as the crowd laughed.

"Only here five minutes and you've already scared a bully." Ian said laughing.

Meanwhile in a nearby mirror Killer Frost's reflection was changed into a different person again.

Killer Frost only saw it for a second, but could make out the shape of a young boy before it changed back to her.
