Tyra's P.O.V.

I just kept running, and running and running until I reached the forest. When I stopped in the middle of the forest I collapsed onto the ground and sobbed. I cried because I knew I had lost my brother and my best friends. They shouldn't have found out like that. I should've just told them sooner. Now they probably hate me and think I'm some weird monster or something.

While I cried to myself I heard a twig snap in the distance making my head snap up. It sounded pretty close. I could have sworn I had seen a figure standing in the bushes.

"Who's there?!" I called out. The figure stepped out a little more so that I could see their body, but not their face. It was a woman.

"Its okay, sweetheart. Its only me." the woman replied. She sounded familiar.

"Who are you?!" I said, standing to my feet.

"Oh come on. How can you not recognize your favorite Aunt Kate." she said, stepping into full view. She was indeed alive. My eyes widened and I backed up a little.

"Kate?" I said, just above a whisper.

Let me explain to you my history with Kate. When I had first met Allison, I used to go over to her house all of the time. I had come over one time and Kate was there. She was probably one of the nicest women I've ever met. She treated me like her own daughter. She used to take me and Allison shopping and buy us things. She even bought me this necklace that I always wear. It was a cheetah print heart pendant. I loved it. She even tried to hook me up with guys sometimes! Sometimes she would treat me like a sister and other times like a mother.

When I had found out about her being a hunter, I was a little freaked out. But I still didn't look at her any differently. And then when I had found out about her burning down the Hale house...I didn't know what to think. She was always so nice. Then when I saw her die. That was one of the most painful moments of my life. I know what she did was wrong, but she didn't have to die. No one deserves to die. And now here she is standing right in front of me.

"Hey, sweetheart. Long time no see." she said, walking toward me. I stayed still.

"Kate. What are you doing out here? There are people looking for you." I whispered, wiping some tears.

"Yeah, I know that. But I heard you crying. What happened?" she asked. She actually sounded concerned.

" I dont really want to talk about it. You wouldn't really understand." I whispered. She came closer and tucked my hair behind my ears and held my face. She used to do that all the time when I was upset.

"Sweetheart no one deserves to be upset. You know I love you." she said softly. "You can tell me." she whispered. I sighed and took a seat on a fallen tree stump. She sat next to me with an arm wrapped around my shoulders.

"I kept a secret from them. And they found out the hard way." I whispered. "I was going to tell them later on, but it was too late. Now they probably think I'm some kind of freak." I sobbed. She rubbed my back soothingly.

"I'm sure it wasn't that bad. What is it?" she asked. I contemplated on telling and decided I might as well.

"I'm a monster." I whispered. She looked at me.

"What are you talking about? No you're not. I've seen monsters, believe me. I'd know one when I saw one." she said.

"You dont understand." I whispered, looking up at her with my glowing green eyes. She gasped and then gave me a sympathetic look.

"Oh sweetheart. What did you do?" she asked.

"Nothing. I was born this way. I've been hiding it for so long." I said.
