Tyra's P.O.V.
Me, Kira, and Malia all went out to the bleachers at the field. We took a seat close to the bottom near the field. Scott and Stiles had convinced Derek to try out with them. They had mentioned something about a new freshman kid that was 'unnaturally' good at lacrosse. They're probably just exaggerating.
I spotted Derek, Scott and Stiles walking over to us so I got up and greeted them.
" Hey, guys. You ready for try outs?" I asked. They nodded.
" Why aren't you trying out?" Scott asked.
" Well, in case you forgot this is the boys lacrosse team and I thought it was pretty obvious I was a girl." I said with a raised eyebrow. I noticed Derek wink at me out of the corner of my eye.
" Yeah, but you're like super good. I'm sure coach would let you try out." Stiles said. Derek looked confused.
" Wait, you play Lacrosse too? How many sports do you play?" Derek asked.
" A lot. Now anyways, I dont think coach would even think twice about letting me play." I said, folding my arms.
" Whatever." Scott said rolling his eyes along with Stiles. I saw Derek smirking. I raised an eyebrow at him.
" What's with the face?" I asked curiously.
" I'll be right back." he said before taking off. Then I saw him run into the direction of the coach. What is that boy doing?
The coach blew his whistle.
" Alright I want all my players asses on the field! Asses on the field!" he yelled making me laugh. I turned around and started walking back towards the bleachers.
" Oh no you don't mini McCall! I see you! I said all lacrosse players on the field!" he yelled at me. I looked a little taken back. He's actually going to let me try out? Wonder what made him change his mind. Then I looked over at Derek, Scott and Stiles and saw Derek with a wide grin on his face. I should have known he had something to do with it.
I walked over to the group of boys and stood next to the coach and Derek.
" Now I know what you're thinking about having a girl try out, but I was told that she's one of the best players at the school. And we are in desperate need of new players. So if any of you ladies have anything to say about mini McCall here being on the team you can go take a lap." Coach finished. " Speaking of new players... I would like to welcome a newcomer, Liam Dunbar." He said gesturing to a kid standing across from me and next to Garrett.
He had golden brown hair with bright blue eyes, he was pretty built too. He was actually really attractive. I'm guessing he was a freshman.
" Liam here was a pretty big Lacrosse star at his old school so I suggest you play your asses off if you want to be captain. Also we have Miguel Stilinski." He said gesturing to Derek. I chuckled at the name earning a light push from Derek.
" Miguel, let's hope you're not as horribly pathetic as your cousin over here." he said. I laughed and Stiles glared at me.
We started off with the timed run. I came in first, that Liam kid second, Derek third, Scott fourth, and Garrett fifth. And well, Stiles was last. Yeah, maybe next time buddy.
" You're pretty fast." Liam said as we both started doing pushups.
" You're pretty fast yourself. You a freshman?" I asked. Wondering if he was the guy Scott and Stiles were talking about.
" Yeah, I just transferred from my old school." he said. I heard his heartbeat pick up and knew he was lying.
" You were kicked out weren't you?" I said.
