After Archie got arrested the town of Riverdale went to shit. Pasts are dug up. Relationships tore apart. And a new classmate threatens to ruin everything Y/n holds dear.
Archie and I lay in the in my room as he strums his guitar I sketch him. Both of us not talking but instead just enjoying the company of the other. Archie and I have always been the closer than me and Betty, or even me and Veronica. I was just naturally closer to him and his family who actually liked me, versus Betty's family or Veronica's who both actually hated me.
"Here," I say as I hand the paper to Archie, "how's that?" He takes it and smiles.
"It's fantastic as always," He says to me, "give it to Ronnie."
"Okay," I say to him as I tear it from my book and hand it to him. He looks over it then at me.
"I need you to prepare to be the only one here with my dad," Archie says, "for when I-"
"If you go away," I correct him wanting him to be as positive as he can. He sighs.
"If, I need you to keep my dad above water," He says, "I already asked Jughead to keep you together. Tell him what you always tell me. Please."
"Everything will be fine," I say to him, "I'll do what I can. I promise."
"Alright," Archie says and I smile at him sadly. He pulls me into a hug. "Everything's gonna be fine."
"I know it's just," I whimper, "I can't lose my best friend." He hugs my tightly and comfortingly. Him and I have finally gotten back to a good place and his gonna be jailed for something he couldn't even imagine doing. As he pulls back I wipe my eyes. "We should have some fun today."
"How does swimming sound?" He asks, "just me, you, Betty, and Jug."
"That sounds perfect," I say to him.

The music blasts as we ride down the road in Archie's mess of a car. Jughead, Betty, and I in the back while Archie and Veronica sit up front. It was fun all of us together enjoying the company of the others.
As we get to Sweetwater Swimming Hole we all rush from the car to the water. Riverdale's summers were fairly hot all things considered. So the idea of getting into the cool water was fairly exciting. As we all strip down to our underwear excitedly we just laugh.
"Last one in gets a sticky maple!" Archie yells as I kick off my pants.
"You're on!" I scream as I jump in. Him and Jughead jump in together and the other two girls follow.
