"I can't hold back anymore..."

The girl's breath hitched when the blonde male said that. His voice was strong and his look was determined. It's like he stared right into her soul.

"This is probably too early for you, but I can't help it." He ran his slender fingers through his hair and spoke. "I'm falling for you, [Name]."

"Holden, I.." She mumbled, not knowing how to react. She sure was falling for him too, but she didn't know how to express it. The fast beating of her heart didn't help either.

"I think I like you too."

"[Name]?"

"Huh?"

The girl blinked. A handsome man sat opposite of her and her hands were placed on the table, one on top of the other.

She was daydreaming just now.

"You've been staring at me for the past few minutes," Holden mumbled. "Is there something on my face?"

His expression was interesting. His cheeks were painted a bright red color and he didn't make straight eye contact. Or what is that he couldn't?

"Oh!" [Name] exclaimed, feeling embarrassed. "I'm sorry, that must've been uncomfortable."

"No, no, it's fine." Holden shook his head, to which the girl responded with a nervous chuckle.

Silence fell upon them again. Holden took a sip from the mango juice he ordered. They were waiting for their ice cream to be served.

[Name] didn't know that Holden was just as nervous as she was. This was their third time going on a date. Their story was quite the normal one, where [Name] had heard from her friends that her senior, Student Council President, Holden was interested in her and they started dating from there.

Truth be told, the girl was interested in him too. He was shy, great at debates and had charming looks. He was awkward but that made him cute in [Name]'s opinion. She was starting to love everything about him.
