Kang Seul-gi (Hangul: 강슬기; born February 10, 1994) is a South Korean singer and dancer. She is a member of the South Korean girl group, Red Velvet.

Biography

She studied in Ansan Byeolmang Middle School and in Seoul Performing Arts High School.

In 2007, She began training under S.M. Entertainment. She is called the '2nd Taeyeon' because of her vocal skills. She is also featured in ABC News 'Kpop Boot Camp' with two other trainees.

Career

S.M. ROOKIES

Seulgi was part of S.M. Entertainment's pre-debut group, S.M ROOKIES, along with fellow Red Velvet members, Irene and Wendy. She was officialy released as part of S.M. ROOKIES Project on December 3, 2013.

S.M. Entertainment's official YouTube channel released video clips of Seulgi including her fellow member, Irene showing their skills in the "Be Natural" video.

In 2014, before Red Velvet debuted, Seulgi collaborated in Henry's "Butterfly".

Seulgi made her official debut with Red Velvet (band) on August 1, 2014.  

Promotions

Seulgi was in 'The Celebrity Magazine' with fellow member, Irene and fellow SM Rookies, Taeyong and Johnny. It was issued on February 2014, before Red Velvet debuted.
